Charlotte County Blue Fins are looking for coaches for year round competitive swim program.  This is a Monday through Friday position(with some weekend commitment as swim meets occur).  This is a part time hourly position ranging anywhere between 1 to 2.5 hours a day.  Age range of swimmers is anywhere between 8 to 12yrs. Competitive swim background necessary, coaching experience a plus but not a must.  Fall schedule ranges from August to May (afternoon practices) and Summer schedule (morning practices).  Candidates need to have flexible schedule to accommodate this seasonal change. We are looking for coaches that love the sport of swimming and working with children.  These positions require certifications through USA Swimming along with an extensive background check.  Both need to be obtained in order to start.  Club will reimburse for certs once 6 months of employment has been reached. Responsibilities for age group coach position: The age group coach is responsible for coaching two separate groups of children ages 9-10 & 11-12. Practice times during the school year are from 3:45 pm until 7:30 pm weekdays (Monday through Friday), and from 7:45am until 11:30am on Saturdays between the two groups. Practice times during the summer are from 7:45 am until 11:30am from Monday through Saturday. Participation at swim meets and other team activities is also required. We are looking for a coach that will teach the children a high level of swimming technique and instilling good work ethics, striving for success at the age group level while challenging the swimmers to improve.
