Assistant Coaches
The Fort Belvoir Swim Team is seeking (1) Full-time Coach and (2) Part-time Coaches. The Full-time position responsibilities are: On-deck Coaching approximately 30 hours a week; Administrative duties approximately 10 hours a week. Experience with Meet Manager and Team Manager preferred.  Experience as a Meet Director preferred.  Training will be provided if needed.  Willingness and ability to Coach a wide variety of athletes.  Motivating personality, ability to interact with parents with strong rapport and encourage swimming as a life-time sport.  Salaried position with potential for increased income with high school and summer league swim coaching.   The Part-time positions responsibilities are: On-deck Coaching approximately 4-10 hours a week depending on availability.  Assist main group Coach with Age Group Swimmers and manage our bridge program with autonomy.

Swim Team Assistant Coach
The MAC (Multnomah Athletic Club) is looking for a confident coach with strong leadership skills to motivate and enhance our Novice program, who is passionate about working with 12&Unders, but is comfortable coaching all levels.  This coach is responsible for bridging the lesson program with the competitive program and developing swimming as a lifelong skill.  This coach needs to be able to have good decision making skills that are in the best interest of the athlete and the program and be able to create a safe and positive environment in order for our athletes to be able to reach their potential. Purpose Eagerly and enthusiastically coaches athletes to achieve their ultimate potential through proper training and the creation of a positive and healthy athletic environment. Empowered to Lead swimmers to excellence in competition Provide excellent customer service on a daily basis Keep up on personal professional advancement Communicate with members as needed, via email, phone, in person meetings, etc. Develop and regularly use motivational tools for swimmers Continually enhance personal squad curriculum and use the latest proven techniques and industry trends Teach swimmers proper sportsmanship conduct Essential Job Functions Leads and monitors practice sessions for squads assigned by Swim Team Head Coach, including land training. Coaches, develops, encourages and inspires swimmers toward competitive excellence. Establishes an environment that fosters positive attitudes, encourages self-discipline, sportsmanship and responsibility. Travels with squad to attend meets and coordinates activities of team members at swim meets. Communicates with swimmers, parents and staff. Provides meet information to swimmers such as times, dates, locations and cost, well in advance of competition. Processes MAC meet entries, results, and attendance. Utilizes Team Manager and Team Unify for squad communication and administration. Promotes member participation in aquatics department programs. Handles emergencies, injuries and illness as they arise in partnership with the lifeguard staff. Submits accurate expense records for meets, travel and equipment within budgetary guidelines and procedures. Makes recommendations to the Swim Team Head Coach and assists with purchasing swim team equipment. Attends regularly scheduled coaches and aquatics staff meetings. Assists coaching staff in developing annual swim meet schedule. Adheres to all USA Swimming rules and regulations. Promotes and adheres to the MAC code of conduct for self and athletes. Complies with all club safety policies and procedures, demonstrating safe work practices. Maintains regular and predictable attendance. Secondary Functions Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor. Essential Tools, Equipment, Vehicles, and/or Machinery Essential job functions require the use of a computer, telephone, fax machine, copy machine, stopwatch and knowledge of other miscellaneous athletic training equipment. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Essential job functions require speaking, hearing, seeing, walking, sitting, standing, and swimming. Qualifications Successful completion of all required and approved USA Swimming Safety courses. (CPR, Safety Training for Swim Coaches and First Aid, Safe Sport and background checks every 2 years) Completion of concussion management training within 60 days of employment. Coaching member in good standing of USA Swimming. Experience in a competitive swim environment required. At least 3 years coaching experience preferred. Working knowledge of computer applications including Team Manager, Team Unify, word processing and spreadsheets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience or ability in establishing and maintaining effective communication with staff and members. Ability to effectively motivate membership. Ability to perform the essential job functions. Full-time Assistant Club Coach
Rockwall Independent School District and the Rockwall Aquatic Center of Excellence (RACE) Swim Team Rockwall, Texas (20 miles East of downtown Dallas) Position: Full-time Assistant Club Coach Overview The Rockwall ISD is seeking a qualified USA Swimming club coach as soon as possible. We are looking for a full-time assistant club swim coach that is willing and able to coach with the on-site club team and perform team and facility duties as necessary.  The RISD Aquatic Center is a 56,000 sq.ft, 50 meter X 25 yard facility with 2 movable bulkheads, 2X1m and 2X3m diving boards and a 4-lane swim lesson pool.  RACE is a year-round swim team with roughly 375 members that include 13 different levels (visit www.rockwallaquatics.com for more team information).    RACE has achieved 3 Silver Level and 3 Bronze Level National Club Excellence Awards from USA Swimming over the last 6 years. Responsibilities and Expectations -Write, attend, actively coach and supervise all assigned club practices, including every weekday evening and at least 3 mornings per week. -Be willing and prepared to coach practice groups, and meets, on weekends and on/around holidays. -Work closely with RACE Head Coach and Head Age-Group coach in developing a comprehensive program to maximize performance potential. -Assist Head Coach and/or Head Age-Group Coach with all scheduled/assigned wet and dry duties. -Be willing and able to help organize and run swim meets (experience with Team Unify, Hy-Tek Team/Meet Manager and Daktronics preferred). -Attend all staff meetings and team functions -Prepare for, attend and actively coach meets, meet-related activities -Be willing to understand, adopt and incorporate Rockwall ISD policies and procedures into your daily work responsibilities. -Be willing to adopt and incorporate RACE team philosophies and goals into your coaching -Honor and promote RACE Swimming traditions and spirit -Demonstrate, teach and encourage good technique and sportsmanship -Communicate with swimmers, parents and other coaches in a productive and professional manner (in                    person or through email, phone, etc.)  -Handle disciplinary/behavioral matters professionally   Qualifications - Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills - Excellent organization skills - Minimum of 3 years of swim coaching experience (UIL and USA preferred) -ASCA Level 3 or higher (or equivalent experience) preferred - Background in competitive swimming (Collegiate experience preferred) - Proven ability to work in a team environment - Maintain current First-Aid, CPR, AED and lifeguard certification - Successfully complete USA Swimming background check, athlete protection training, and athlete safety training. -Successfully complete Rockwall ISD background check Compensation $40,000-$45,000 salary.  Commensurable with Experience Please send a resume, cover letter, and list of three references to: Neil Walker Neil.walker@rockwallisd.org 469-698-7380
