Minimum Qualifications
Current lifeguarding certification (by the start of camp)
Current water safety instructor’s certification (preferred and by the start of camp)
Current CPR and first aid certifications (by the start of camp)
Desire and ability to work with children and adults in a busy camp setting
Ability to relate to one’s peer group
Ability to accept guidance and supervision
Good character, integrity and adaptability
Enthusiasm, patience, self-control and sense of humor
Responsible to : Aquatics Director
General Responsibility
To teach swimming activities and to maintain a safe pool environment at all times.
Specific Responsibilities
Be in attendance all day and every day that camp is in session
During staff training, work with the aquatics director to set up pool area and teach counselors their responsibilities at the pool
Keep records on all participants in the Red Cross swim instruction...
