Working with all coaches to ensure that athletes 12 & under are being prepared for long-term progression through the team. Performing administrative functions including, but not limited to, swim meet entries, parent and athletes meetings, attend weekend swim meets as scheduled, coaching at swim meets and management of team rosters. Running clinics and camps and develop cohesive lesson program to feed into the developmental half of the swim team. Helping to coordinate/manage corporate functions at the health club. ASSISTANT HEAD SWIM COACH with Las Trampas Swim Team The Las Trampas Swim Team (LTST) in Lafayette, California seeks an Assistant Head Swim Coach beginning the 2020 summer rec season!  LTST is a family-oriented, parent supported member of the Diablo Community Swim League. At the heart of the LTST community are approximately 200 children who enjoy improving their swimming skills in a competitive atmosphere.     The Assistant Head Swim Coach is primarily responsible for supporting the Head Coach by managing swim practices and meets, providing constructive technical guidance to swimmers, leading the team of Assistant Coaches, and attending social and spirit events. The ideal candidate for this position: Has a competitive swimming background and understands proper stroke technique, starts and turns. Is passionate about working with young swimmers and fostering individual improvement, strong character, teamwork, team spirit and fun. Is a natural leader, who is effective and comfortable mentoring swimmers (ages 4-18). Has coaching and supervisory experience; must be able to lead a team of Assistant Coaches (ages 15-18). Is available for the duration of the rec swimming season: April 20 through May 29:   Practices are weekday afternoons/evenings. June 1 through July 30: Practices are weekday mornings. Promote safety at the pool by following and enforcing proper precautions and pool rules. Cape Fear Aquatic Club in Wilmington, NC is seeking a part-time assistant swim coach. The assistant coach will lead our athletes during practices and meets, instructing and inspiring our swimmers in a fun and positive environment. Three to five evening shifts per week are required, which may range from one to three hours depending on the age group; there will also be regularly scheduled weekend meets that range from 8 to 12 hours each. The Fort Belvoir Swim Team is seeking (1) Full-time Coach and (2) Part-time Coaches. The Full-time position responsibilities are: On-deck Coaching approximately 30 hours a week; Administrative duties approximately 10 hours a week. Experience with Meet Manager and Team Manager preferred.  Experience as a Meet Director preferred.  Training will be provided if needed.  Willingness and ability to Coach a wide variety of athletes.  Motivating personality, ability to interact with parents with strong rapport and encourage swimming as a life-time sport.  Salaried position with potential for increased income with high school and summer league swim coaching.   The Part-time positions responsibilities are: On-deck Coaching approximately 4-10 hours a week depending on availability.  Assist main group Coach with Age Group Swimmers and manage our bridge program with autonomy.

Boulder Swim Team - Assistant Swim Coach Boulder Swim Team is looking for a qualified coach eager to learn and contribute to our program. Candidates need to be certified in CPR/AED, First Aid, and Lifeguard or Coaches Safety Training, and any other required certifications per USA Swimming and/or CO Swimming. Also must be able to pass a background check. Boulder Swim Team will reimburse all employees for required education/training/certifications. General Summary:   Assistant coach with all age groups. Duties include analyzing performance and instructing competitive swimming technique for children ages 7 - 18 years old. Schedule : 5 shifts per week (M-F, 4-7pm), plus 1 meet weekend per month. Qualifications: Coaching membership in good standing with USA Swimming. Minimum 1 year (preferred 3yrs) previous coaching and/or aquatics experience. ASCA Level 1 or above certification preferred. Candidates should have exceptional communication and motivation skills with children. Additional Requirements: Work under the direction of the head coach Provide input on training plan and conduct workouts. The Assistant Coach Position will report directly the Club Owner and Head Coach. Applicant should have a strong swimming background (competing at the college level preferred) and strong interpersonal skills with both children and adults. Applicants must be hands-on, detail oriented, and foster a positive attitude within the Club. Must be certified with USA Swimming as a non-athlete coach member, passing required USA Swimming background and coaching tests. Applicants must be able to travel locally (and occasionally regionally) for swim meets. Duties:   Primary Coach- Red Team, Secondary Coach- Black Team Provide Swim Lessons for additional compensation The Red Team consists of 3 groups. They are entry level groups and consist of kids ages 4-11. Red 1 is an entry level group with our youngest kids learning the basics of strokes and correct technique.  Red 2 is our second group and has kids that know the strokes, have the basic techniques and understand the rules of swimming. They are in the beginning stages of complex sets and are able to read the clocks.  Red 3 is our older swimmers that know the strokes, can comprehend and carry out complex yardage sets, read the clocks and are  preparing for advanced groups and/or High School Swimming.  Additional help with assisting the Head Coach in the advanced groups will be discussed with interview. We are looking for an assistant age group coach to start with our club May 2020. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, enthusiastic and good with younger, beginning swimmers. We are located in Farmington, NM.  We are a year-round competitive age group swim team. Our swimmers range from age 5- 18 primarily with varying levels of abilities. Hours would be Monday-Friday 5:45 pm-7:45 pm in addition to morning practice during summer months 7:00 am-9:00 am Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Some weekend travel to meets as needed. Qualifications Successful completion of all required and approved USA Swimming Safety courses. (CPR, Safety Training for Swim Coaches and First Aid, Safe Sport and background checks every 2 years) Completion of concussion management training within 60 days of employment. Coaching member in good standing of USA Swimming. Experience in a competitive swim environment required. At least 3 years coaching experience preferred. Working knowledge of computer applications including Team Manager, Team Unify, word processing and spreadsheets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience or ability in establishing and maintaining effective communication with staff and members. Ability to effectively motivate membership. Ability to perform the essential job functions. Job Description:   Rochester Swim Club Rochester, MN Part Time:  Monday – Friday 3:30-7:30pm; Saturday 7am-11am                       Meet weekends requested too   Who are we: Rochester Swim Club is a USA Swimming Team in Rochester, MN.  We have 250+ athletes on our team of all abilities.  Our club supports families in our area, many are in the healthcare industry as the Mayo Clinic is located in Rochester.    What our Swim Coaches are: Rochester Swim Club coaches are experienced professionals with a passion for swimmers and divers ages 5 and above.  We encourage continued learning through clinics, workshops, and weekly staff meetings.  We meet the athlete’s competitive and swimming goals.  The coaches provide swimming techniques and work with athletes at practices as well as swim meets.   Responsibilities include: Assist the head coach as needed in practice and at meets. Work under the direction of the head coach with job duties. Emphasize proper stroke techniques and follow season plan of coach you are assisting. Conduct dryland exercises under direction of head coach Work with all coaches to ensure the needs of swimmers are being met Perform administrative functions including but not limited to meet entries, parent meetings, social events, swim meets as scheduled, staff meetings.
