Coordinate all aquatics, swim club, and first aid and training programs. The five areas of focus for this position include safety, compliance, people management, program and financial management along with aquatic leadership in the community.    Job Responsibilities 1.  Manage the aquatics facilities in the Minnetonka School District  and surrounding beach areas within the District. 2.  Coordinate the scheduling of all events at the aquatics facilities. 3.  Supervise the Head Swim Club Coach, Head Age Group Coach, Lifeguard Services Coordinator, Aquatics Recreational Activities Coordinator, and Masters Swim Coaches, and Aquatics Office Assistant.  4.  Work closely with the Coordinator of Facilities Services in regard to maintenance, mechanical or custodial issues. 5.  Coordinate the purchasing, inventory and maintenance of pool equipment. 6.  Manage programs, clinics and classes associated with the facilities including scheduling registration and payroll. 7.  Work with staff to investigate and recommend strategies to effectively manage risk in aquatics facilities. 8.  Maximize revenue producing opportunities through traditional and non-traditional usage of aquatics facilities. 9.  Develop and monitor annual budget for aquatics facilities and programs. 10.  Coordinate with physical education staff and district administration on the use of aquatics facilities. 11.  Coordinate with the Anchor Club in the support of all aquatics activities. 12.  Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.   Job Requirements  1.  Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Sports Administration or related field is preferred. 2.  Minimum of two years of successful related experience, including experience in a supervisory or leadership role. 3.  Considerable knowledge of sports and recreational administration. 4.  Considerable knowledge of the equipment, facilities, operations and techniques used in a comprehensive community aquatics program. 5.  Ability to develop, coordinate, and direct varied activities involved in a community aquatics program. 6.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other agencies, participants, instructors, community leaders, and the general public. 7.  Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. 8.  Ability to plan and supervise the work of paid staff and volunteers.   *Note: It is possible to combine the Aquatics Director position with the girls’ and/or boys’ high school swimming and diving head coach assignments beginning with the 2020-21 season. Cape Fear Aquatic Club in Wilmington, NC is seeking a part-time assistant swim coach. The assistant coach will lead our athletes during practices and meets, instructing and inspiring our swimmers in a fun and positive environment. Three to five evening shifts per week are required, which may range from one to three hours depending on the age group; there will also be regularly scheduled weekend meets that range from 8 to 12 hours each. The Salem YMCA is seeking a leader with a background in aquatics to manage the operations of our Aquatics Department.   The Aquatics Director is responsible for all aspects of the instructional and recreational aquatics experience. Job Description The Hickam Hurricanes are looking to hire a reasonably experienced coach to join our team on deck! We will be undergoing a few changes in our staffing in the coming months and would like to get ahead of the learning curve. About the team: The Hickam Hurricanes are a non-profit military only USA swimming club. We are located on Hickam Air Force Base, right next to Pearl Harbor (if you are non military that is not a problem, as base access can be granted via sponsorship). Due to being located on a military instillation, our membership is limited to military only families which usually leaves our active member count to over 100 swimmers, depending on the time of the year. About the position: One of our coaches is moving away in the next few months so her position would be passed along to the best qualified candidate. We would prefer to hire sooner than later, so that said candidate has time to get acquainted with the groups and have an easy transition once this coach departs. The typical weekly schedule is: 3:00pm - 6:30pm Monday to Friday 7:00am - 10:00am Saturday As needed for swim meets Responsibilities: You will be directly in charge of both the Mini 1 and Mini 2 age groups, acting as a first line of contact for parents should they have questions and report to the Head Coach. Depending on current staff, you will be required to coach at least the Mini 1 group each day, but possibility of coaching Mini 2 as well on certain days. Once finished with those groups, you will switch over to either the Gold or Elite groups assisting one of the coaches in charge of those groups. This way you will get to know the majority of the team as well as get to coach all levels on the team. Experience requested: Since you will be covering a large variety of skill levels we are asking: At least 1-2 years coaching experience, especially with 10&Under age groups Experience with a USA swimming club Certifications/Registration as a USA swimming coach (if expired, renewal must be completed before first day on deck) Willingness to be flexible on a daily basis with what groups you will be in charge of Prior experience as a swimmer is not required, but it helps Salary: All coaching staff are on an hourly based salary. Head Age Group Coach/Aquatics Supervisor Tuesday – Saturday   The JCC Bridgewater Tide (BWTD), located in Bridgewater, NJ, is seeking a full-time swim coach and Aquatics Supervisor to be the primary coach for our Tidal Waves, Bronze, and Senior group programs. The Tidal Waves and Bronze groups are the base of our program, and it is a great opportunity to instruct new swimmers and to get them engaged in the sport. The Senior group is our second-highest level group and is full of high school swimmers looking to improve. The Head Age Group coach will also assist in tasks in the Aquatics Department, as well as oversee the Summer Pool Club.   BWTD is a swiftly growing and improving program, which has grown from less than 90 swimmers in 2017 to a maximum of 140 swimmers in the summer of 2019 with ability levels ranging from novice to AAA level swimmers. We are also New Jersey’s first and only SafeSport-recognized program. We have a close-knit, hardworking staff that is proud of our success, but are always looking to improve. Northeast Houston Aquatics - NEHA is seeking highly motivated, experienced, and enthusiastic coaches to help develop our rapidly growing swim program. NEHA is a year round USA Swimming affiliated swim club located in the New Caney ISD Natatorium that focuses on technique and endurance training for all levels of swimmers ages 6-18. Job Description: Part-Time M-F: 5-8pm , Sat: 9-11am, plus swim meets and 1 one hour monthly coaches meeting. Experience working with children and large groups. Must have background of 3-4 years of competitive swimming, USA Swimming coaching experience, and/or minimum of one-year experience as a swim instructor. High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Job Description The mission of the JCCSF Swim Team is to provide young swimmers with quality coaching that will help them develop and enhance their swimming and endurance skills. To create an environment where swimmers feel like they are part of a team and learn how to compete with the goal of putting forth their absolute best effort and regardless of the result feel confident and supported for that effort. The JCCSF Swim Team is a continuum of the JCCSF Swim School and Youth Athletic programs, providing young people the opportunity to develop life skills such as personal effort, integrity, confidence and teamwork.   The Assistant Swim Coach helps the Head Coach to create this experience. The Assistant Coach is expected to attend all swim meets, swim practices and team functions throughout the year and is also responsible for creating and maintaining a clean and safe environment for the swim team participants. The Assistant Coach also assists the Head Coach and Aquatics Program Manager with communicating with all swim team members as well as various swim team system functions including, but not limited to, managing team rosters, meet times and communications.   RESPONSIBILITIES Assist Head Coach in creating thorough, age -appropriate workouts focusing on technique, endurance, stroke development, drills, etc. Lead structured practice in absence of Head Coach Assist with practice on days with large team attendance Take direction and guidance from Head Coach Help to record all work outs and track daily attendance. Employees in this classification must represent the RecPlex in a professional manner, while instructing and monitoring personnel, members, guests, and program participants.   Job Duties ·Must be able to manage the competitive swim team including working with existing coaches and staff while growing the team in numbers and talent. ·Responsible for managing the Learn to Swim lesson program while growing participant numbers and swim instructors. ·Responsible for recruiting championship bids and the bid process for hosting and managing rented and hosted swim meets, open water swims, and events both indoor and outdoor. ·Interface with RecPlex Website, Guest Services, RecPlex Managers, and Business Office on all Aquatics Programming. ·Coordinate aquatics marketing plans. ·Must be capable of scheduling, training, supervising and evaluating a large number of lifeguards, swim instructors, and aquatic personnel of varying ages and emotional maturity. ·Must meet or exceed budget targets for revenues, and budget limits for labor costs and direct costs. ·Must facilitate staff meetings with aquatic staff and swim team. ·Must maintain administrative records and create reports including:  attendance reports, program reports, payroll documentation including approval of employee time sheets, accident reports and personnel evaluations; conduct regular performance reviews, at prescribed intervals; keep staff informed of regular, new and upcoming activities, events, policies, programs and so on. ·Work with outside vendors and sponsors to make sure we are adhering to agreements and promoting best business practices. ·Must be able to coordinate with other recreation managers, facility supervisors and school administrators for scheduling and reservations of program facilities. ·Must create a positive hospitality and be accessible and visible. ·Must establish and maintain a set work schedule; ensure adequate coverage during all hours of operation; work within payroll budget in areas of responsibility. ·Must be energetic, enthusiastic and motivational. ·Must know and enforce all RecPlex, Village and department rules, regulations, policies, standard operating procedures and guidelines. ·Must work shifts as Manager on Duty including: opening/closing of the facility; physical inspection of the entire building; ensure safety of employees and patrons in the facility and administer CPR or first aid as needed; set up, put away and maintain athletic equipment; maintain cash control of the safe and front desk drawer; complete paperwork. ·Must have the ability to apply principles of influence, such as motivation, incentive and leadership systems. ·Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. ·Maintain effective working relationships with employees, peers, coordinators, and the public. ·Ability to visually monitor pool and beach areas and respond quickly to emergency situations. ·Ability to obtain and maintain preferred certifications. ·Requires the ability to perform highly skilled coordinated movements, such as utilizing a rescue tube, spinal board, Shepherd’s Crook and other safety and first aid procedures. ·Must have knowledge of life guarding techniques; Jeff Ellis & Associates swimming programs; pool safety; water chemistry. ·Must be able to perform other duties and special assignments as directed by the Operations Superintendent and Director of Recreation including assignments that may be outside the primary area of employment.     Physical Requirements ·Requires high degree of interaction and communication with staff and public.  Works closely with Operations Superintendents, RecPlex Managers, and Director of Recreation.  Work subject to varying shifts.  Majority of work performed is indoors in an aquatic atmosphere.  The work requires long periods of attentiveness, standing, sitting, pulling, pushing, reaching, carrying, cleaning, visual monitoring, verbal and written communication, hearing, moderate lifting 15-50 pounds, periods of extensive public contact and exposure to stressful and emergency situations. ·RecPlex is located in Prairie Springs Park at 9900 Terwall Terrance, Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.  Hours will vary with evening, weekend, and holiday work required.  Work is usually performed during typical daytime and early evening hours, but diversity of special events and workload, as well as available staffing and budget, requires weekend and evening hours.   Requirements - educational, certifications and experience ·Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Business or related field is required.  Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of 5 - 10 years of aquatics experience with significant experience coaching and managing a competitive swim team. Strong verbal and written skills are mandatory as well as high proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.  Extensive customer service and public relations are required.   Coaching Policy Athletic/team Coaches are hired to instruct/teach specific skills where the coach is the teacher and the player(s) is/are the learner(s) and instill teamwork both during team practices and games.  Coaches are not hired to participate with the players during scrimmages or active play, or endurance/strength training.  

Boulder Swim Team - Assistant Swim Coach Boulder Swim Team is looking for a qualified coach eager to learn and contribute to our program. Candidates need to be certified in CPR/AED, First Aid, and Lifeguard or Coaches Safety Training, and any other required certifications per USA Swimming and/or CO Swimming. Also must be able to pass a background check. Boulder Swim Team will reimburse all employees for required education/training/certifications. General Summary:   Assistant coach with all age groups. Duties include analyzing performance and instructing competitive swimming technique for children ages 7 - 18 years old. Schedule : 5 shifts per week (M-F, 4-7pm), plus 1 meet weekend per month. Qualifications: Coaching membership in good standing with USA Swimming. Minimum 1 year (preferred 3yrs) previous coaching and/or aquatics experience. ASCA Level 1 or above certification preferred. Candidates should have exceptional communication and motivation skills with children. Additional Requirements: Work under the direction of the head coach Provide input on training plan and conduct workouts. Emphasize proper stroke technique and understand the progression for each training group. Conducting test sets, dryland sessions following the season plan, tracking performance, and attending coaches’ meetings and all other functions related. The Assistant Coach Position will report directly the Club Owner and Head Coach. Applicant should have a strong swimming background (competing at the college level preferred) and strong interpersonal skills with both children and adults. Applicants must be hands-on, detail oriented, and foster a positive attitude within the Club. Must be certified with USA Swimming as a non-athlete coach member, passing required USA Swimming background and coaching tests. Applicants must be able to travel locally (and occasionally regionally) for swim meets. Duties:   Primary Coach- Red Team, Secondary Coach- Black Team Provide Swim Lessons for additional compensation The Red Team consists of 3 groups. They are entry level groups and consist of kids ages 4-11. Red 1 is an entry level group with our youngest kids learning the basics of strokes and correct technique.  Red 2 is our second group and has kids that know the strokes, have the basic techniques and understand the rules of swimming. They are in the beginning stages of complex sets and are able to read the clocks.  Red 3 is our older swimmers that know the strokes, can comprehend and carry out complex yardage sets, read the clocks and are  preparing for advanced groups and/or High School Swimming.  Additional help with assisting the Head Coach in the advanced groups will be discussed with interview. The Buffalo City Swim Racers is in search of an Administrative Manager to assist with administrative operations of our swim club. This organization has both Learn to Swim and Competitive Swim programs. We’re looking for a highly organized and efficient professional with administrative experience and a basic understanding of swim clubs, though we are willing to provide in-house training. The successful candidate will provide assistance with all administrative activity, including those in accounting and customer service. BCSR is looking for an individual who is comfortable working on tasks both independently or with employees and/or leadership and who can contribute to the overall improvement of our club’s efficiency and productivity metrics. The Rancho San Dieguito Swim Team has immediate coaching openings for the following practice groups: Lead Coach for pre-competitive swimmers age 13 and older (weekdays) Lead Coach for competitive swimmers age 13 and older (weekdays) Assistant Coach with the above groups (weekdays) Assistant Coach with our 12 and younger age group program (weekdays) Lead and/or Assistant for weekend practice groups (Fri-Sat-Sun) Successful candidates may coach with more than one group and the coaching hours can range from 2-6 hours daily depending on practice group placement, with the possibility of additional administrative hours depending on experience.   We are looking for an experienced swim coach. Coaching duties include weekday afternoon practices, attending weekend swim meets (approximately 1-2 times per month), regular staff meetings, and swim team administration duties. Candidates must be dynamic and passionate about working with our swimmers and families. Successful candidates will have a minimum of two years of coaching experience with a USA registered swim program.   RSD is a teaching and values based team with over 500 members.
