Emphasizing proper stroke technique and understand the progression for each training group. Conducting test sets, dry land sessions following the season plan, tracking performance and communicating this information to parents, conduct parent and athlete meetings, attending coaches’ meetings and all other functions related. Creating a training plan and conducting workouts geared towards maximizing the swimmer's potential for primary training groups of highly committed 12 & Unders while overseeing the developmental 14 & Under program. Working with all coaches to ensure that athletes 12 & under are being prepared for long-term progression through the team. Performing administrative functions including, but not limited to, swim meet entries, parent and athletes meetings, attend weekend swim meets as scheduled, coaching at swim meets and management of team rosters. Running clinics and camps and develop cohesive lesson program to feed into the developmental half of the swim team. Helping to coordinate/manage corporate functions at the health club. Cape Fear Aquatic Club in Wilmington, NC is seeking a part-time assistant swim coach. The assistant coach will lead our athletes during practices and meets, instructing and inspiring our swimmers in a fun and positive environment. Three to five evening shifts per week are required, which may range from one to three hours depending on the age group; there will also be regularly scheduled weekend meets that range from 8 to 12 hours each. Hours can be discussed based on groups that this position may coach. This position may be seasonal or year-round. Boulder Swim Team - Assistant Swim Coach Boulder Swim Team is looking for a qualified coach eager to learn and contribute to our program. Candidates need to be certified in CPR/AED, First Aid, and Lifeguard or Coaches Safety Training, and any other required certifications per USA Swimming and/or CO Swimming. Also must be able to pass a background check. Boulder Swim Team will reimburse all employees for required education/training/certifications. General Summary:   Assistant coach with all age groups. Duties include analyzing performance and instructing competitive swimming technique for children ages 7 - 18 years old. Schedule : 5 shifts per week (M-F, 4-7pm), plus 1 meet weekend per month. The Assistant Coach Position will report directly the Club Owner and Head Coach. Applicant should have a strong swimming background (competing at the college level preferred) and strong interpersonal skills with both children and adults. Applicants must be hands-on, detail oriented, and foster a positive attitude within the Club. Must be certified with USA Swimming as a non-athlete coach member, passing required USA Swimming background and coaching tests. Applicants must be able to travel locally (and occasionally regionally) for swim meets. Duties:   Primary Coach- Red Team, Secondary Coach- Black Team Provide Swim Lessons for additional compensation The Red Team consists of 3 groups. They are entry level groups and consist of kids ages 4-11. Red 1 is an entry level group with our youngest kids learning the basics of strokes and correct technique.  Red 2 is our second group and has kids that know the strokes, have the basic techniques and understand the rules of swimming. They are in the beginning stages of complex sets and are able to read the clocks.  Red 3 is our older swimmers that know the strokes, can comprehend and carry out complex yardage sets, read the clocks and are  preparing for advanced groups and/or High School Swimming.  Additional help with assisting the Head Coach in the advanced groups will be discussed with interview. Hours: Monday: 4:00-6:30 PM Tuesday: 4:00- 6:30 PM Wednesday: 4:00-6:30 PM Thursday: 4:00- 6:30 PM Additional hours will be available if needed/able. Expected to attend Swim Meets as primary Club coach if needed. Expect 6-8 hours per each day of the meet. Expected to attend community events representing team within the Verrado Community positively. These hours will be compensated. We are looking for an assistant age group coach to start with our club May 2020. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, enthusiastic and good with younger, beginning swimmers. We are located in Farmington, NM.  We are a year-round competitive age group swim team. Our swimmers range from age 5- 18 primarily with varying levels of abilities. Hours would be Monday-Friday 5:45 pm-7:45 pm in addition to morning practice during summer months 7:00 am-9:00 am Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Some weekend travel to meets as needed. Travel reimbursement available to be discussed upon hire. Some administrative work may apply as directed by the board or head coach. Salary depending on experience. Assistant Swim Team Coach for CAC Inverness in Englewood, CO Minimum Requirements ( either   have or willing to quickly obtain): Background Check – have or willing to obtain in 1 week; Drug Test – have or willing to obtain in 1 week; Former USS / USA Swimming athlete Former collegiate swimmer CPR / AED certification – have or willing to obtain in 3 weeks (Red Cross / American Heart Association CAC provides free classes to staff); First Aid / Choking certification - have or willing to obtain in 3 weeks (Red Cross / American Heart Association); Concussion certification – have or willing to obtain in 3 weeks (Safe Sport) Swim Coach Water Rescue certification – have or willing to obtain in 3 weeks (Red Cross) USA Swimming Coach certification – have or willing to obtain in 2 months (FYI - takes forever to get through training / certification) Reliable transportation Organized Helpful: Lifeguard certification (must be willing to pursue) Prior experience teaching swim lessons Certified Pool Operator or over 5 years experience working with pool equipment (filters, chemicals, heater, pumps) Experience as a parent or working with children Duties: Be on deck to help coach any age group Monday through Friday 4pm – 8pm Be generally available to teach swim lessons during the week during the daytime (able to coordinate schedule) Provide routine pool maintenance tasks throughout the week (brushing walls, cleaning gutters, testing chemicals, cleaning decks, fixing tiles, etc) Provide administrative support to the team and coach throughout the week with responding to emails, calendaring dates, handling parent questions, managing roster, etc. Compensation (per CAC generally): Hourly $12-$15/hr. coaching, pool maintenance, administrative support 60% commissions on any swim lessons taught No benefits Hours Per Week Monday – Friday (minimum 10 up to 50 hrs) Saturday – Sunday (optional & variable depending on availability, swim practice, swim lessons, swim meets)

Assistant Swim Coach Watertown Area Swim Club – Watertown, SD Part Time – 26 – 40 hours per week depending on the week   The Position: Watertown Area Swim Club is looking to hire an Assistant Coach with the possibility of advancement.  Position requires a motivated and enthusiastic coach with knowledge of competitive swimming.  Requirements: Abide by the USA Swimming Code of Conduct, and WASC policies and procedures.
