Assignment Full-time, full-year position Regionally competitive benefits package. Starting salary range is $70,000+ with actual placement depending on experience and qualifications. Reports to the Superintendent   Note:  This position is not part of any collective bargaining group and the incumbent will be placed on an individual contract with the Minnetonka Public Schools.   Primary Objective of Position   Manage the entire aquatics activities of the community facilities. Coordinate all aquatics, swim club, and first aid and training programs. The five areas of focus for this position include safety, compliance, people management, program and financial management along with aquatic leadership in the community.    Job Responsibilities 1.  Manage the aquatics facilities in the Minnetonka School District  and surrounding beach areas within the District. 2.  Coordinate the scheduling of all events at the aquatics facilities. 3.  Supervise the Head Swim Club Coach, Head Age Group Coach, Lifeguard Services Coordinator, Aquatics Recreational Activities Coordinator, and Masters Swim Coaches, and Aquatics Office Assistant.  4.  Work closely with the Coordinator of Facilities Services in regard to maintenance, mechanical or custodial issues. 5.  Coordinate the purchasing, inventory and maintenance of pool equipment. 6.  Manage programs, clinics and classes associated with the facilities including scheduling registration and payroll. 7.  Work with staff to investigate and recommend strategies to effectively manage risk in aquatics facilities. 8.  Maximize revenue producing opportunities through traditional and non-traditional usage of aquatics facilities. 9.  Develop and monitor annual budget for aquatics facilities and programs. 10.  Coordinate with physical education staff and district administration on the use of aquatics facilities. 11.  Coordinate with the Anchor Club in the support of all aquatics activities. 12.  Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.   Job Requirements  1.  Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Sports Administration or related field is preferred. 2.  Minimum of two years of successful related experience, including experience in a supervisory or leadership role. 3.  Considerable knowledge of sports and recreational administration. 4.  Considerable knowledge of the equipment, facilities, operations and techniques used in a comprehensive community aquatics program. 5.  Ability to develop, coordinate, and direct varied activities involved in a community aquatics program. 6.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other agencies, participants, instructors, community leaders, and the general public. 7.  Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. 8.  Ability to plan and supervise the work of paid staff and volunteers.   *Note: It is possible to combine the Aquatics Director position with the girls’ and/or boys’ high school swimming and diving head coach assignments beginning with the 2020-21 season. The Salem YMCA is seeking a leader with a background in aquatics to manage the operations of our Aquatics Department.   The Aquatics Director is responsible for all aspects of the instructional and recreational aquatics experience. Our team is building a new aquatic center (just north of Tulsa, OK) and expanding into a new swim school! Our plan includes providing swim instruction, with an overall progression that leads to our national level swim team. Our new facility will house a teaching pool, and 8 lane, 25 yard hi-tech training pool. We are currently searching for an experienced aquatics director / swim school manager to lead our swim academy (Waves Swim Academy) and overall programming at our brand new aquatic center. The  Vashon Seals Swim Team  is a Level 1 USA-Swimming Club on Vashon Island - located in between Seattle and Tacoma, Washington. We are a member of the Pacific Northwest Swimming LSC.  Our team is growing and we are in need of additional coaches. Ideal candidates will have a passion for swimming and working with young athletes in a fun and dynamic atmosphere that promotes camaraderie and personal achievement.  Our program is focused on competitive and non-competitive swimmers between the ages of 5 and 18, and we offer six different levels of instruction: Seal Pups, Stroke School, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Swim Fit (60 to 70 swimmers in total). We're seeking a Head  Swim Team Coach   to join our team. As our new Head Swim Team Coach you will: Be approachable and visible to all club members and all swim team families. Bring an enthusiastic and energetic approach to each and every practice. Develop strong, lasting relationships with all swimmers on the team and the lap swimmers. Assist in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training and supervising all assistant coaches. Assist with New Employee Orientations for all assistant coaches. Develop and lead weekly coaches meetings. Develop methods to track swimmers progress throughout the season. Develop a dryland training program and execute during daily practices. Keep current with research in aquatics related areas. Assist the lifeguards with the enforcement of pool rules and in helping lap swimmers find lanes  available to them. Assist with the development and marketing of all Aquatics programs. Attend and assist running Aquatics special events and conducted at our facility as needed. Assist with the promotion our swim team both within the club (flyers, bulletin boards, swim instructor  bios, signage on deck during lessons, member newsletter) and outside the club (website content,  posting flyers, Community Fairs). Required Qualifications: Current Red Cross Lifeguard certification (AED, CPR, First Aid) or Coaches Water Safety and AED/CPR and First Aid. ASCA Level 2 certified or above. Current USA Swimming certified coach. Extensive experience working with children and teenagers. Strong background in competitive swimming. Must have at least two years of supervisory experience Must have knowledge and experience using Team Unify, Colorado Timing Systems and OME. Preferred Qualifications:   Excellent verbal and communication skills. Strong service orientation and attitude; the ability to provide members, guests and staff with exceptional service in a friendly and professional manner. Ability to relate to diverse populations. Enthusiastic, responsible and team-oriented. Physical Requirements: Exposure to variety of weather elements. Requires long periods of standing. Moderate use of computer terminal screen, right or left hand use, Typing. Grasping and gripping movements Ability to lift 50 lbs. Some lifting may require additional assistance from another staff person. Employee expected to use discretionary judgment and ask for assistance from another employee if an item is perceived to be too heavy to lift without assistance. Head Coach Essential Responsibilities:   Leadership, organization, knowledge of new advance training/coaching techniques, along with dryland implementation for our swimming program. Exceptional organization and leadership skills in order to administrate, direct and lead a staff of 8 assistant coaches for the different groups. Motivate and supervised the various responsibilities of the coaching staff towards the athletes. Evaluate, administer and improve the growth of the CRL swimming team. Utilizing and working with the club’s Swimming Academy as to discover new talent. Being the Swimming Academy the natural pathway “feeder” of the club’s future swimmers. Having a direct responsibility in how, who and when to invite swimmers from the academy into the competitive team. Organize strategic planning with specific standards and goals in order to promote and motivate competitive swimmers of CRL. Having a clear road map in who and when a swimmer is moved into a different training group. Know how and when to delegate responsibilities to the rest of the coaching staff; so, mission and goals can be achieved. Capacity to create a healthy competitive environment. Promoting team spirit above all and the cohesion of the different groups as a “one team vision”. Promote and emphasize stroke technique in order to achieve a better/faster/happier swimmer. Communicate and collaborate with the Swimming Committee, coaching staff and parents through newsletters (weekly), website and social media updates, and email for the purpose of establishing and keeping a clear line of communication for parents/swimmers and all members. Collaborate and support Swimming Committee on the development of budget and fundraising activities, in the form of social & athletic activities, such as Swimathon, sponsors etc.     Qualifications and Expectations for the Head Coach Position   Exceptional qualities of leadership and organization. Bachelor degree (minimum) or higher (Masters preferred, not required) or proven and verifiable stellar coaching accomplishments. Current swimming coaching credentials (background check etc.) in good standing and abide by USA Swimming code of conduct. Preferred 5-10 years of competitive coaching with a swimming member club. Preferred experience of at least 3 years coaching swimmers that have achieved different competitive levels such as “TAGS”, “Jr. Olympics”, “USA Zones”, “Sectionals”, “Futures” or better. Strong integrity, patience and passion for coaching. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Spanish proficiency level (at least intermediate). Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of Team Unify, Team Manager, Meet Manager, On Deck, Meet Mobile and other technology/software platforms that are used to develop swimmers (e.g. underwater stroke analysis). The candidate should demonstrate exceptional qualities in coaching and mentoring young athletes, as well as a passion for coaching. Applicant must understand the importance of teamwork in order to advance the CRL competitive team. Candidate can work well independently and in a team environment.   The position is eligible for a very competitive compensation plan. The CRL offers opportunities for coach growth developments via vis continuing education, clinics and team travel. The CRL is under the governance of an elected Board of Directors. The CRL Board appoints a Swimming Committee to help Head Coach perform duties.

South Shore Sails Swim Team The South Shore Sails is located in League City, Texas. We are looking for a new Head Coach. We have on average 180-200 swimmers from developmental to the national level. We operate out of The Fitness Center at South Shore Harbour and surrounding high school pools. We have access to a 50 meter pool for the long course season. We have degreed fitness specialists for dry land training. The South Shore Sails are a Bronze level status team and a club recognition level one. Job Summary: The South Shore Sails is seeking an experienced, innovative and energetic head coach for our team. This person will be responsible for the development and growth of a competitive club from the developmental to elite levels. They should also have administrative skills and give strategic direction for long term planning and day to day training plans along with staff development. This is a full time, year round salaried position. Head Swimming Coach – Des Moines Swimming Federation Des Moines Swimming Federation – the oldest swimming club in the Des Moines metro – is looking to hire a full-time head coach to continue our long history of swimming and cultural excellence, helping us foster an environment where young athletes can thrive. DMSF is a year-round USA Swim team, with an annual registration of 100- 120 swimmers. The team has a full complement of swimming programs, from beginning competitors up to a national group. The team swims primarily at Valley High School in West Des Moines, but also trains at several other locations in the metro. DMSF is proud to have been recognized for coaching excellence twice in the past three years by Iowa Swimming. We are seeking a leader who is passionate about the sport of swimming and helping kids learn the values of teamwork and sportsmanship. Candidates should be a role model our athletes can look up to and seek guidance from as they set out to achieve their goals, but most importantly, someone who believes in our team’s mission of providing the opportunity for every swimmer to progress to the competitive level he or she is capable of and desires to achieve. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  Establishes an environment that fosters positive team attitudes, and encourages individual self-discipline, sportsmanship and responsibility. Builds a fun and safe environment for athletes, families and fellow coaches.  Serves as primary coach for the team, responsible for all levels of swimming in the program. Training coaching staff and volunteers as necessary.  Communicates professionally and regularly with coaches, athletes and parents. Maintains positive relationships with the local and state swimming community and school districts/facilities directors. Represents the team with Iowa Swimming.  Attends all DMSF Board meetings and executive sessions, and all regional/state USA Swimming meetings.
