The Salem YMCA is seeking a leader with a background in aquatics to manage the operations of our Aquatics Department.   The Aquatics Director is responsible for all aspects of the instructional and recreational aquatics experience. Located in the heart of downtown Salem, the Salem YMCA provides over 150 swim lessons to youth weekly, offers aqua activities for all ages, and is host to a local High School Swim Team.  Key responsibilities of this role include recruiting, retaining and transitioning swimmers of all ages and abilities through the programs and working collaboratively with the competitive team to achieve a successful conversion rate of instructional swimmers to the competitive program. Current USA Swimming and or YMCA Swim coach credentials. Certified Pool Operator CPO, CPR, AED, Basic First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 3 months. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency of swim skills in accordance with YMCA standards and have a strong foundation in stroke mechanics. Head Age Group Coach/Aquatics Supervisor Tuesday – Saturday   The JCC Bridgewater Tide (BWTD), located in Bridgewater, NJ, is seeking a full-time swim coach and Aquatics Supervisor to be the primary coach for our Tidal Waves, Bronze, and Senior group programs. The Tidal Waves and Bronze groups are the base of our program, and it is a great opportunity to instruct new swimmers and to get them engaged in the sport. The Senior group is our second-highest level group and is full of high school swimmers looking to improve. The Head Age Group coach will also assist in tasks in the Aquatics Department, as well as oversee the Summer Pool Club.   BWTD is a swiftly growing and improving program, which has grown from less than 90 swimmers in 2017 to a maximum of 140 swimmers in the summer of 2019 with ability levels ranging from novice to AAA level swimmers. We are also New Jersey’s first and only SafeSport-recognized program. We have a close-knit, hardworking staff that is proud of our success, but are always looking to improve. Check equipment before and after each class, and report repair needs to supervisor whenever necessary. Set-up, breakdown and store equipment for each class. Attend mandatory in-service training on a monthly basis. Must attain the YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor certification within 120 days of hire. Know and understand the Emergency Action Plan and Emergency Evacuation Routes. Enforce Aquatics safety rules consistently and fairly. Maintain positive relationships with class participants, parents, non-class members and staff. Promote other Aquatics programs; have knowledge of pool schedule and programs. The East Coast Aquatic Club (ECAC), located in Delray Beach, Florida, is searching for a qualified Age Group coach. Delray Beach is located in the South East coast of Florida, approximately 25 minutes south of West Palm Beach. The ECAC swim program is a young yet very successful age group program. It is one of the fastest growing teams in the area with approximately 100 members. It is an 8 lane 50 Meter X 25 yard pool on the east side and 25 meters on the west side. ECAC is engaged in a long-term contract with the Palm Beach County for pool usage. Job Responsibilities: The Age group coach is responsible for selective groups of children 9-14 years old. The coach is responsible for writing daily practices, dry land and preparing seasonal plans for his/her groups, according to club philosophies. He/She will emphasize teaching all aspects of swimming with focus on stroke technique and good work ethics while making great efforts to achieve success at the age group level. Qualifications: The successful candidate should have at least 3 years of coaching experience with USA Swimming or another FINA federation. He/ She must have completed the background check and safe sport (athlete protection) program, and must be in good standings with USA Swimming. The candidate should be a high energy, positive person, with great communication skills, working well with swimmers, parents and other coaching staff. This is a part time position. Salary is competitive based on experience with potential to earn more through private lessons, swim camps, etc... We are looking for an assistant age group coach to start with our club May 2020. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, enthusiastic and good with younger, beginning swimmers. We are located in Farmington, NM.  We are a year-round competitive age group swim team. Our swimmers range from age 5- 18 primarily with varying levels of abilities. Hours would be Monday-Friday 5:45 pm-7:45 pm in addition to morning practice during summer months 7:00 am-9:00 am Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Some weekend travel to meets as needed. AGUA Masters Head Coach
Asphalt Green Masters is one of the fastest growing adult swim teams in the country with more than 250 registered members with a wide range of ages and swim abilities.  The AGUA Masters Head Coach is responsible for leading the overall growth and development of the AGUA Masters team as well as supporting Asphalt Green’s non-profit efforts.  AGUA Masters offers 25+ weekly practices in 2 locations, and a robust staff of 20 part-time coaches.  The Head Coach is responsible for developing, implementing, and preserving a progressive training program that supports athletes of all skill levels.  Moreover, the Head Coach focuses on increasing swimmer engagement and enhancing the team’s overall sense of community.  As the Masters champion for fundraising, the Head Coach works closely with the Development Team to insure that AGUA Masters team members appreciate and support Asphalt Green’s non-profit mission of assisting individuals of all ages and backgrounds achieve health through a lifetime of sports and fitness.  The Head Coach requires outstanding interpersonal skills in order to foster positive relationships with every Masters swimmer, and the ability to support personal development of these swimmers as appropriate.   Within the larger Asphalt Green community, the Head Coach will work in partnership with the Aquatics Department, Membership Department, Development Department, senior managers, and other AG stakeholders.  This position reports into the Director of Aquatics and oversees the AGUA Masters Team at both the Upper East Side campus as well as the Battery Park City campus.  New campuses are planned in the next few years that would also include Agua Masters Teams.   Responsibilities  Oversee year-round training program of roughly 250 Asphalt Green Masters Plan and schedule coaches each month for practices. Make sure all workouts are covered. Manage 20 part-time coaches who coach both workouts and private lessons. Must be highly visible, leading select practices (which include morning’s and Saturday’s), and engaging with all athletes.  Should personally be coaching 16-20 hours per week. AHI Swim Team, located in American Canyon, CA, (Napa County) is a program of excellence instilling a lifelong love of swimming. We are a Spring/ Summer Recreational Swim Team, part of the Twin County Swim League, following Contra Costa County Swim Rules, serving approximately 130 swimmers ages 4-18 in our community. The team is organized and managed by a volunteer parent board, and parent volunteers run the meets. We swim at the American Canyon High School Pool beginning late March, continuing through early August. Practices are held weekday evenings in April and May and switch to a combination of morning and evening for the summer. Coach schedules will be considered before summer practice times are finalized. Swim meets are held Saturday mornings or Wednesday evenings in June and July with 1-2 full weekend meets plus two all-day Saturday meets also planned. AHI seeks coaches for the 2020 season, coaches must be at least 18 years of age with a love of swimming and at least one year of competitive swimming or coaching experience. Coaches will collaborate with the coaching staff and parent board to inspire young swimmers to do their best as a valuable member of the team, encourage mentorship among swimmers, teach good sportsmanship, and to improve youth swimmer performance at all levels.
