Tidal Wave is looking for 2 part time coaches (approx. 10-15 hrs per week). We also need one or more lifeguards (approx. 20 hrs per week) 

The YMCA of Metro North is looking for a  Full  Time Head Competitive Coach  to bring their aquatic passion to the newly merged Swim Team.  The team will have three locations: Lynn, Peabody and Melrose.  Under the direction of the Association Aquatic Adviser, the Head Swim Team Coach is responsible helping our swimmers to realize what they can be instead of what they are, organizing and conducting practices, clinics, meets and other events for the YMCA of Metro North Swim Team. As their coach, your job is to set the bar high, inspire them to reach this bar, encourage them, and most of all, guide them in the best possible manner and in the most supportive environment. This newly formed team had 130 swimmer enrolled in the 2018 fall/winter season with room to grow.  This program is conducted in accordance with the missions and policies of the YMCA of Metro North, the YMCA of the USA, and USA Swimming. We invite our new coach to be a link to our storied past and the bridge to our successful future.   Qualifications A minimum of Lifeguarding (ARC) and CPR/AED/AEO is required. Coaching certifications from YMCA of the USA and USA Swimming. Certification from ASCA is preferred. Two to four years competitive coaching experience is required. Two years Head Coach preferred. Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent preferred. Demonstrated knowledge and ability to communicate recognized principles and practices of coaching young swimmers. Demonstrated ability to build a team of quality coaches. Great communication skills a must as well as supervision and public relations skills. Sexual harassment training must be obtained within 6 months. Additional certifications preferred: Lifeguard Management, WSI and/or Y Swim Instructor, Lifeguard Instructor, and Pool Operator. Essential Functions Contribute to and supervise the fulfillment of the YMCA Mission and character development values through the YMCA of Metro North Swim team program. Develop staff through supervision and development opportunities. Recruit, train, and supervise all level swim coaches, coach’s assistants, and parent volunteers. Recruit and oversee the Parent’s Association volunteers, attend monthly Parent Advisory meetings or arrange a coach representative. Assure that monthly all-parent meetings are held (this can include the spring banquet). Encourage recruitment of swimmers through YMCA swim lesson programs as well as other YMCA youth programs in collaboration with the Association Aquatic Adviser and the Aquatics Directors. At times, teach swim lessons and guard during low swim team times. Maintain and administer Team Unify Develop and maintain a recordkeeping system of the status and progress of each swimmer. In conjunction with the assistant swim coaches, prepare all meet entries assuring that every child swims in every meet they attend. Develop a schedule for swim team practices across multiple facilities, and develop competitive swim clinics each year. Update, maintain, and distribute the Swim Team handbook. Communicate regularly with the Association Aquatic Advisor and all coaches. Maintain communication and rapport with all swimmers and their parents. Demonstrate an enthusiastic attitude towards the team and provide a positive learning environment for all. Oversee the team unify website and other social media and ensure that it is kept up to date. Assist in the preparation of an annual budget under the guidance and supervision of the Association Aquatic Adviser, and manage that budget for the Swim team program in accordance with established procedures and expectations. Represent the YMCA of Metro North at YMCA regional events and trainings. Continue to develop and evaluate the USA Swimming program as part of the Swim program. Report any facility problems, needed repairs to the Facility Director. Evaluate all programs annually to ensure they meets the needs of program participants. Keep current with swim coaching techniques and issues. Membership in ASCA recommended. Keep all certifications current and monitor coaching staff to ensure their certifications are also kept current. Attend practice in each location each week. Other duties as needed. Cause-Driven Leadership® Competencies Staff Administration: Under the direction of the Aquatics Director, will assist in recruitment, hiring, training, supervising, motivating and evaluating swim team staff, as well as taking disciplinary action up to and including termination as needed. Program Development: Assist with the evaluation and improvement of the swim team program. Assist with the creation of new programs and new collaborations. Supervision: Supervise all assistant coaches, coach aids, volunteer coaches, and mentors. Complete reports, projects, and assignments as needed or assigned. The Village of Shorewood Hills is accepting applications for the position of Pool Manager. This is presently a part time, year round position with seasonally adjusted and flexible hours. The position is responsible for managing all operations of the pool including staffing, purchasing, programming and mechanical functions including opening and closing. During the summer season, the pool employs about 70-80 individuals. acac is seeking a lead competitive coach to work primarily with our senior swimmers in our competitive team. acac also offers USMS Masters Swimming, a non competitive swim program and a summer recreational swim team.  The Assistant Coach conducts practices for acac swim team members following the head coach’s guidelines. The Assistant Coach works with children of different ages and ability levels so that they progress effectively to higher levels of swimming. Essential Functions and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): On deck coaching primarily weekday mornings 5:00 -8:00am (Tuesday - Friday, some Saturdays). Other shifts may become available. Responsible for daily, weekly and season planning for the Senior group with the Head Coach and may attend 1 - 2 meets a month. Plans and conducts effective and progressive practices (in water and dryland) on a solo platform, with assistance from Head Coach. Maintains vigilance while conducting practice in order to maintain constant control of the group and emphasize safety at all times. Safety is our number one concern, thus acac swim team keeps Safe Sport at the forefront of our program. Successful completion of all certifications required by USA swimming, The ability to address swimmers of various skill levels as well as coordinate effective practices for all parties in attendance. Promote the sport of swimming in a positive and enthusiastic manner to swimmers, their families and our club members. Head Swim Coach YWCA Tiger Sharks Swim Team   Location: YWCA Central Maine Lewistion Maine 04240   The YWCA Tiger Sharks Swim Team is looking for a Head Swim Coach. The Tiger sharks  team is a competitive program for swimmers ages 5-18+ years. We are a small but growing team of currently 40 swimmers who compete throughout Maine, in USA  swimming events! The head coach is responsible for screening/evaluating team members, helping swimmers develop goals, planning practices, scheduling meets, working with parent volunteers as well as providing on deck coaching at practices and all swim meets.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Organize and conduct practice workouts that are developmentally appropriate, well organized, and which demonstrate trackable progression throughout the course of the season. Develop a team culture that is focused on Youth Development, which rewards effort and commitment, not only results. Assist swimmers in developing, evaluating, and achieving goals. Schedule, organize, and administer home and away meets, making sure all necessary paperwork is completed in submitted on time. Remain current and educated with developments in the field of competitive swimming. Incorporate this knowledge via delivery of Tiger Sharks swim team practices, meets and special events. Work with Tiger shark Parents who may wish to assist the Head Coach with organizational and administrative functions such as officiating or fund raising. The Preserve Piranhas Swim Team, Summer League Head Coach Summary : The Preserve Piranhas Swim Team is a summer league team located in Greenwood Village, Colorado. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, experienced head coach with excellent leadership skills to further develop and expand our existing team. The Piranhas are a member of the Rocky Mountain Swim League (RMSL), offering a competitive swim program for ages 6-18 plus a developmental program for ages 3-6. The team is governed by the Preserve Piranhas Swim Team Board comprised of volunteer parent representatives. The Head Coach works with direction from the Board to manage daily swim team operations, while striving to inspire youth swimmers of all levels through practice and competition. The Head Coach will have the knowledge and experience necessary to enhance the competitive and social atmosphere of the Piranhas team. The swim season generally runs from mid-May through mid-July, with some meetings/communications required in the months prior to the season. They are responsible for managing these functions in accordance with the stated mission, goals, and policies established by the administrative staff, governing committees. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides vision, leadership, and management of the day-to-day operations of the successful, values-oriented YMCA of the Triangle competitive swimming program for our YMCA site that includes multiple age group levels. Recruits and hires diverse staff and volunteer teams across multiple dimensions of diversity.  On-boards and develops them for success. Provides vision, leadership, and management to the part time staff that includes coaching and leadership traits to ensure a high quality swim program. Montrose Marlins Swim Club in Montrose, Colorado has an immediate opening for an experienced and enthusiastic Head Swim Coach. Title: Montrose Marlins Swim Club Head Coach Reports to: Board of Directors Position Status : Part-time, year round Montrose Marlins Swim Club is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated Head Swim Coach candidate for our year-round competitive swim team, with a love for the sport who can work well with children and be able to communicate well with the coaching staff, swimmers, and their parents. The Montrose Marlins Swim Team is a USA Swimming affiliated, year-round competitive swim team offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to international competitor. We are a nonprofit 501c3 organization under the direction of a volunteer parent run Board of Directors. We have 70-90 swimmers in six progressive training groups: Little Nemos, Zoomers, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Juniors/Seniors that train year-round with a staff of five certified coaches. These groups are designed to provide athletes with a fun team atmosphere where swimmers of similar ability and commitment practice together and TEAM is emphasized in a competitive setting. Asphalt Green Masters is one of the fastest growing adult swim teams in the country with more than 250 registered members with a wide range of ages and swim abilities.  The AGUA Masters Head Coach is responsible for leading the overall growth and development of the AGUA Masters team as well as supporting Asphalt Green’s non-profit efforts.  AGUA Masters offers 25+ weekly practices in 2 locations, and a robust staff of 20 part-time coaches.  The Head Coach is responsible for developing, implementing, and preserving a progressive training program that supports athletes of all skill levels.  Moreover, the Head Coach focuses on increasing swimmer engagement and enhancing the team’s overall sense of community.  As the Masters champion for fundraising, the Head Coach works closely with the Development Team to insure that AGUA Masters team members appreciate and support Asphalt Green’s non-profit mission of assisting individuals of all ages and backgrounds achieve health through a lifetime of sports and fitness.  The Head Coach requires outstanding interpersonal skills in order to foster positive relationships with every Masters swimmer, and the ability to support personal development of these swimmers as appropriate.   Within the larger Asphalt Green community, the Head Coach will work in partnership with the Aquatics Department, Membership Department, Development Department, senior managers, and other AG stakeholders.  This position reports into the Director of Aquatics and oversees the AGUA Masters Team at both the Upper East Side campus as well as the Battery Park City campus.  New campuses are planned in the next few years that would also include Agua Masters Teams.   Responsibilities  Oversee year-round training program of roughly 250 Asphalt Green Masters Plan and schedule coaches each month for practices. Must be highly visible, leading select practices (which include morning’s and Saturday’s), and engaging with all athletes.  Should personally be coaching 16-20 hours per week.
