WHAT YOU'LL DO:
We're seeking a Lifeguard Manager to join our team. As our new Head Lifeguard you will:
Supervise a Lifeguard staff of 20 – 25
Work 20-25 hours as a Lifeguard
Administrative work 15-20 hours per week
Schedule lifeguard staff
Maintain certification records of all LG staff
Help the Aquatics Manager with training
Serves as the manager on deck during events and/or swim meets
Maintain watch over the pool area ensuring a secure and safe environment
Employ accident prevention by enforcing pool rules and regulations
Respond to all injuries, incidents, and emergencies as directed by club policy
Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of the aquatics center
Background Profile:
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of three years of Lifeguarding experience
Minimum of one year of aquatics supervision
Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification (basic level)
Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification or the ability to obtain the certification within 90 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Five years of lifeguarding and/or aquatics supervision experience
American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Trainer
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire
Physical Requirements:
Candidates applying for this position should be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted repeatedly throughout the workday
Frequent walking and demonstrating and assisting with exercise movements; bending, stretching, lifting, pushing, pulling and squatting are movements performed daily
Ability to be in water for long periods during the day
