Ensure instructional equipment remains in good condition; have all equipment ready prior to classes and put away after. Know and understand the Emergency Action Plan and Emergency Evacuation Routes. Enforce aquatics safety rules consistently and fairly. Perform second duties, as requested, only when not lifeguarding. Maintain positive relationships with members and staff. Follow the directions of the YMCA of Greater New York aquatic supervisors, in accordance with the YMCA aquatic standards. Must attain the YMCA Lifeguard certification within 90 days of hire. Maintain certification level of physical and mental readiness.  Responsible for recertification before expiration. Actively participate in training sessions, designated meetings and special events. Qualifications:      Must be 17 years of age or older. High School diploma or equivalent, desired. Current YMCA Lifeguard certification or equivalent. Current Basic Life Support, First Aid and Emergency Oxygen certifications. Demonstrate swim strokes, lifeguard rescues and BLS/BFA/EO skills. Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Excellent hospitality skills. Work in a team-based environment teaching the cutest kids in Atlanta how to swim. Our instructors teach classes for students ages 3 months old all the way to adult, in a variety of environments: group classes, private lessons, and semi-private lessons. With our 40 hour training program, you will learn how to build meaningful relationships with clients as a means for making swimming an enjoyable experience for all levels and ages of students. Boulder Swim Team - Assistant Swim Coach Boulder Swim Team is looking for a qualified coach eager to learn and contribute to our program. Candidates need to be certified in CPR/AED, First Aid, and Lifeguard or Coaches Safety Training, and any other required certifications per USA Swimming and/or CO Swimming. Also must be able to pass a background check. Boulder Swim Team will reimburse all employees for required education/training/certifications. General Summary:   Assistant coach with all age groups. Duties include analyzing performance and instructing competitive swimming technique for children ages 7 - 18 years old. Schedule : 5 shifts per week (M-F, 4-7pm), plus 1 meet weekend per month. Qualifications: Coaching membership in good standing with USA Swimming. Minimum 1 year (preferred 3yrs) previous coaching and/or aquatics experience. ASCA Level 1 or above certification preferred. Candidates should have exceptional communication and motivation skills with children. Additional Requirements: Work under the direction of the head coach Provide input on training plan and conduct workouts. Emphasize proper stroke technique and understand the progression for each training group. Conducting test sets, dryland sessions following the season plan, tracking performance, and attending coaches’ meetings and all other functions related. We are looking for an assistant age group coach to start with our club May 2020. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, enthusiastic and good with younger, beginning swimmers. We are located in Farmington, NM.  We are a year-round competitive age group swim team. Our swimmers range from age 5- 18 primarily with varying levels of abilities. Hours would be Monday-Friday 5:45 pm-7:45 pm in addition to morning practice during summer months 7:00 am-9:00 am Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Some weekend travel to meets as needed. Travel reimbursement available to be discussed upon hire. Some administrative work may apply as directed by the board or head coach. Salary depending on experience.
