Enforce aquatics safety rules consistently and fairly. Perform second duties, as requested, only when not lifeguarding. Maintain positive relationships with members and staff. Follow the directions of the YMCA of Greater New York aquatic supervisors, in accordance with the YMCA aquatic standards. Must attain the YMCA Lifeguard certification within 90 days of hire. Maintain certification level of physical and mental readiness.  Responsible for recertification before expiration. Actively participate in training sessions, designated meetings and special events. Qualifications:      Must be 17 years of age or older. High School diploma or equivalent, desired. Current YMCA Lifeguard certification or equivalent. Current Basic Life Support, First Aid and Emergency Oxygen certifications. Demonstrate swim strokes, lifeguard rescues and BLS/BFA/EO skills. Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Excellent hospitality skills. Carolina Aquatic Team is seeking part time qualified coaches to work with our developmental groups as well as fill in for other practice groups as needed. The ideal candidates are energetic, knowledgeable, passionate about swimming, and able to communicate with parents, coaches and athletes. Carolina Aquatic Team developmental groups practice at the Orange County SportsPlex, Edison Johnson Aquatic Center, and Campus Hills Recreation Center in Hillsborough/Durham NC.   Minimum Qualifications: Previous coaching experience preferred (Summer League Swim Teams and Lessons are recognized) Ability to work, train, and instruct one or multiple practice groups from either 4:30-6:00 PM, or 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm Monday-Friday. Must be able to work weekends for swim meets averaging once per month. Strong swimming background and teaching knowledge Strong customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Duties: Maintain full USA Swimming Coaching Certification at all times, must complete all certification requirements within 30 days of hire (reimbursement for certifications provided by Carolina Aquatic Team) Planning and writing daily workouts for you group(s) Attending scheduled meets Meet entries Contribute in Staff communications and discussions Track group attendance Opportunity: Compensation based on experience, achievements and other factors. Piranhas Aquatic Club is seeking a lead competitive coach to work with swimmers in our competitive team. Piranhas Aquatic Club is a year-round USA swimming program in the Elk Grove area. The organization also offers USMS Masters Swimming and a summer recreational swim team. Job Responsibilities On-deck coaching and prep from generally from 6-7:30 am and 3:30-7:30 pm Monday-Friday. Responsible for daily, weekly, and season planning for the competitive team in coordination with the Head Coach and will typically attend 1-2 meets per month. Works directly with the Head Coach to develop and oversee curriculum and practice schedules for the competitive team. Works directly with the Head Coach to maintain the direction of the program to follow the long-term plan. Assist the Head Coach in developing this plan. Assist with administrative duties for the team, which includes communication to swimmers and parents, develop and implement strategies to retain swimmers and assist with marketing and development of all PAC programs. Supervision of the assistant coaches as assigned by the Head Coach. This includes oversight of training plans, schedules and other. Attend all meets as agreed upon with the head coach. Assist with travel meets for all meets attended for groups that the coach oversees. Compensation Compensation for this position is based on qualifications and availability. Reimbursement for travel and team related expenses.  Team provides funding for coach educational opportunities.

The anonymous, carefully vetted, Argo voice-over team of accomplished NCAA and high-level age group coaches just keeps growing. Each week we have different openings. This week's open slots call for new NCAA/Level 3+ coach-candidates, preferably female, insofar as the current team-balance goes. We're seeking an  Aquatics Administrative Assistant   to join our team. As our new  Aquatics Administrative Assistant you will: Create schedules for  Swim Instructor and Aquatics Service Desk Staff Assist in new swim lesson instructor staff member orientation, staff training, and performance reviews Act in a leadership role in the absence of the Aquatics Director and/or Assistant Aquatics Director Assist members and non-members with registration for swim lessons and swim team programs Receive and process registration fees Supervise the  Aquatics Desk staff with organization, customer service and establishing best practices for the administrative side of all our Aquatic programs Assist with keeping members, participants and all club staff informed of changes to the schedule, cancellations, rentals and any other events Schedule additional staff when demands are high Highly focused on customer service and on improving the overall efficiency of the aquatics programs Take all necessary steps to solve member problems, complaints and concerns Other tasks as assigned Required Qualifications:   Minimum of  1 year of supervisory experience Minimum of 1 year of customer service Minimum of 1 year of swim lesson instruction and building curriculum & swim team structure Minimum of 1 year of computer knowledge (Google calendar, Word, etc)   Preferred Qualifications: 2 years or more experience in Aquatics Accuracy and attention to detail Strong knowledge of teaching progressions for children and adults Experience with Team Unify and/or other scheduling software programs Superior communication skills and the ability to relate to diverse populations Enthusiastic, responsible and team-oriented Current Red Cross certification (AED, CPR, First Aid, Coaches Water Safety or Lifeguard)   Physical Requirements: Candidates applying for this position should be able to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds unassisted Frequent walking, sitting; bending, stretching, lifting, pushing, pulling and squatting are movements performed daily Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in extreme weather changes

Responsibilities: Responsible for Senior & Senior Elite Athletes Works with head coach to set workout schedules Works with head coach to set workout groups and criteria for advancement has prompt attendance on all scheduled workouts & meet days. May not be needed for all meets depending on situation. Head Coach will decide which meets coach attends. May need to help with other groups at swim meets. designs and oversees season training plans for Senior and Senior Elite Athletes with assistance from head coach as needed designs and oversees daily workout plans for Senior and Senior Elite Athletes attends open water practice with senior and senior elite athletes when necessary. Complies to all rules and regulation set forth by Safe Sport & USA Swimming sets Senior and Senior Elite performance goals facilitates individual goal setting process with all swimmers in their respective group facilitates a mental training program with all swimmers in their respective group maintains attendance lists via Ondeck app Remains in compliance with all county rules and regulations and takes all concerns to head coach who will directly work with county aquatics division establish an environment that fosters positive team attitudes, encourages self-discipline, sportsmanship, responsibility Works with Head Coach to determine the Senior and Senior Elite Athletes Meet schedule selects individual's meet events makes relay assignments for respective group with assistance from Head Coach depending on meet. supervises meet warm-ups to prepare swimmers, to ensure safety and to comply with USA Swimming warm-up procedures attends all pertinent meetings at meets Program Growth With Head Coach Approval has the authority to implement and run clinics Team Travel comply with USA Swimming coaching code of conduct and rules regarding team travel. responsible for managing the travel budget (if traveling without head coach) conducting meetings before and during travel (if traveling without head coach) Long Range Planning is involved with all long range planning aspects Professional Association certified member of ASCA Other Duties Head Coach and Club Owner may assign other responsibilities and duties so long as they fall within the written objectives of the club Compensation: TBD on Experience *Serious inquiries only* *Housing not provided* (this is a question we are asked often)
