Wilmington College (Ohio) is seeking a swimming  intern. The position is a two-year internship. The successful candidate will play an integral role in the recruiting of prospective student-athletes. They will also be highly motivated, demonstrate ability to work both independently and as part of a team, have strong organizational and time management skills, exhibit excellent oral and written communication, and demonstrate the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The intern will work directly with the head coach(es) of their respective sport, as well as the office of admissions.This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate that would like to begin a college coaching career. Bachelor’s degree is required. Previous coaching and recruiting experience is preferred. Each intern will be provided with a stipend and room and board. TCAT is a year round USA Swimming program that has been in operation for 5 years.  TCAT has swimmers competing at higher level meets including the Lake Erie Zone Team and a recent Jr National qualifier.  More than half of our team currently has National Age Group motivational times and are working to achieving higher competitive standards.  We continue to grow the number of qualifiers to higher level meets and are seeking individuals who will help to build our program with organization, consistency and the desire to help others achieve their fullest potential. Head Age Group Coach Responsibilities Include: Assists Head Coach with administrative and on deck functions of TCAT and its affiliated programs Submit meet entries Perform Swim team evaluations Oversee part time coaching staff Recruiting new swimmers into TCAT and its affiliated programs Responds to daily parent inquiries Manage and direct Pre Swim Team, Beginner, and introductory Intermediate performance Attend swim meets and help set up for TCAT hosted swim meets Any other responsibility created by TCAT Management The Head Age Group Coach position is a full time position with health insurance benefits and paid time off available.  Pay range is $14-$16 per hour.
