Job Description This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Aquatics Director will assist with program quality and the planning and implementation of programs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for recruiting, training, coaching and leading lifeguards Ensure staff maintain all required certifications Administrative duties include staff development (recruitment, selection, scheduling, training, supervision, etc.) Assist with Branch events and the Annual Giving Campaign. Build and maintain close and positive relationships with participants and parents. Follow all policies and procedures in the Y Aquatic’s SOP Manual created and or approved by the Association. Maintain a safe environment at all times. Attend training and meetings Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor degree or 1 year of aquatic experience Enthusiastic, Fun, Great Personality Ability to effectively interact with participants, parents, and staff Available on weekend and evenings as needed. Possess the following certifications at the time of hire: CPR for the Professional Rescuer or accredited equivalent Emergency Oxygen Administration Standard First Aid Lifeguard certification YMCA Swim Instructor certification preferred Possess or obtain within 90 days of hire the following YMCA trainings: YMCA Lifeguard certification YMCA Swim Instructor certification; YMCA Lifeguard Instructor YMCA Swim Lesson Trainer

Alpha Aquatics is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Senior Level Coach available to join our staff as soon as possible and coach at the brand new El Segundo-Wiseburn Aquatics Center in sunny El Segundo, California. In this position, you will be working along Head Coach Octavio Alesi helping develop senior level club swimmers, and assisting with the daily swim club administrative duties.    Applicants must have at least 2 years of experience at a collegiate or swim club level position.  Compensation based on qualifications. 

Full-time Head Swim Coach – Spare Time Aquatics Sharks – STAS ( Sacramento ) The Spare Time Aquatics Sharks are looking for a full-time Head C oach. STAS is a Level 2 USA Swimming Club at Rio del Oro Sports Club in Sacramento , CA. The team is consistently one of the t op teams in Northern California.   The ideal candidate is passionate about the sport of swimming, and is focused on swimmer development, the candidate will lead our program as our S enior Coach and will have oversight over the other coaches. The candidate will lead the search for another coaching hire.   Qualifications/Expectations: • Previous coaching experience . • Maintain the safety and background check requirements required to be a USA Swimming coach member . • A thorough knowledge of competitive swimming and stroke mechanics to coach competitive senior and age group swimmers . • Enthusiastic, energetic, positive role model, team-oriented, dependable, good communicator , with strong leadership qualities. • Develop and implement team and individual goals with the swimmers and monitor the progression of the athletes and team in reaching these goals. • Timely & professional communic ation with parents and swimmers, and club personnel. • Develop and maintain seasonal plans for the progression of our Senior program. • Select the appropriate schedule of seasonal competitions . • Demonstrate s a willingness to communicate with parents to help swimmers achieve their goals .   How to apply: Resumes/questions can be emailed to Aquatics Director : Richard Levin (coachrichard@riorapids.com) This job is open immediately and will be filled quickly with the right candidate.
