As our new Head Lifeguard you will: Supervise a Lifeguard staff of 20 – 25 Work 20-25 hours as a Lifeguard Administrative work 15-20 hours per week Schedule lifeguard staff Maintain certification records of all LG staff Help the Aquatics Manager with training Serves as the manager on deck during events and/or swim meets Maintain watch over the pool area ensuring a secure and safe environment Employ accident prevention by enforcing pool rules and regulations Respond to all injuries, incidents, and emergencies as directed by club policy Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of the aquatics center Background Profile: Required Qualifications: Minimum of three years of Lifeguarding experience Minimum of one year of aquatics supervision Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification (basic level) Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification or the ability to obtain the certification within 90 days of hire   Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Five years of lifeguarding and/or aquatics supervision experience American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Trainer Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire Physical Requirements: Candidates applying for this position should be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted repeatedly throughout the workday  Frequent walking and demonstrating and assisting with exercise movements; bending, stretching, lifting, pushing, pulling and squatting are movements performed daily Ability to be in water for long periods during the day   We are an equal opportunity employer: EXOS is proud to be an affirmative action / equal opportunity employer. The team is consistently one of the t op teams in Northern California.   The ideal candidate is passionate about the sport of swimming, and is focused on swimmer development, the candidate will lead our program as our S enior Coach and will have oversight over the other coaches. We're seeking an  Aquatics Coordinator    to join our team. As our new  Aquatics Coordinator you will: Create schedules for  Swim Instructor and Aquatics Service Desk Staff Assist in new swim lesson instructor staff member orientation, staff training, and performance reviews Act in a leadership role in the absence of the Aquatics Director and/or Assistant Aquatics Director Assist members and non-members with registration for swim lessons and swim team programs Receive and process registration fees Supervise the  Aquatics Desk staff with organization, customer service and establishing best practices for the administrative side of all our Aquatic programs Assist with keeping members, participants and all club staff informed of changes to the schedule, cancellations, rentals and any other events Schedule additional staff when demands are high Highly focused on customer service and on improving the overall efficiency of the aquatics programs Take all necessary steps to solve member problems, complaints and concerns Other tasks as assigned Required Qualifications: Minimum of  1 year of supervisory experience Minimum of 1 year of customer service Minimum of 1 year of swim lesson instruction and building curriculum & swim team structure Minimum of 1 year of computer knowledge (Google calendar, Word, etc) Preferred Qualifications: 2 years or more experience in Aquatics Accuracy and attention to detail Strong knowledge of teaching progressions for children and adults Experience with Team Unify and/or other scheduling software programs Superior communication skills and the ability to relate to diverse populations Enthusiastic, responsible and team-oriented Current Red Cross certification (AED, CPR, First Aid, Coaches Water Safety or Lifeguard) Physical Requirements: Candidates applying for this position should be able to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds unassisted Frequent walking, sitting; bending, stretching, lifting, pushing, pulling and squatting are movements performed daily Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in extreme weather changes
