Must have at least two years of coaching experience.   Preferred Qualifications:   Excellent verbal and communication skills. Strong service orientation and attitude; the ability to provide members, guests and staff with exceptional service in a friendly and professional manner. Superior communication skills. Ability to relate to diverse populations. Enthusiastic, responsible and team-oriented.   Physical Requirements: Exposure to variety of weather elements. Requires long periods of standing. Assistant Swim Team Coach - Jewish Community Center San Francisco
Job Description The mission of the JCCSF Swim Team is to provide young swimmers with quality coaching that will help them develop and enhance their swimming and endurance skills. To create an environment where swimmers feel like they are part of a team and learn how to compete with the goal of putting forth their absolute best effort and regardless of the result feel confident and supported for that effort. The JCCSF Swim Team is a continuum of the JCCSF Swim School and Youth Athletic programs, providing young people the opportunity to develop life skills such as personal effort, integrity, confidence and teamwork.   The Assistant Swim Coach helps the Head Coach to create this experience. The Assistant Coach is expected to attend all swim meets, swim practices and team functions throughout the year and is also responsible for creating and maintaining a clean and safe environment for the swim team participants. The Assistant Coach also assists the Head Coach and Aquatics Program Manager with communicating with all swim team members as well as various swim team system functions including, but not limited to, managing team rosters, meet times and communications.   RESPONSIBILITIES Assist Head Coach in creating thorough, age -appropriate workouts focusing on technique, endurance, stroke development, drills, etc. Lead structured practice in absence of Head Coach Assist with practice on days with large team attendance Take direction and guidance from Head Coach Help to record all work outs and track daily attendance. Maintain a consistent presence at all swim team events such as meets, social events, meetings, etc. Engage parents and cultivate relationships to create a collaborative swim team environment. Assist in coordinating and executing swim team competitions and meet registrations. Record times at swim meets and assist in imputing into swim team system. Assist in swim team social event planning, as necessary Coordinate with other coaches on specific areas of expertise. Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for swim team participants. Be committed to the mission and goals of the JCCSF. Additional duties as required. REQUIREMENTS: Experience working with children ages 5-13 years. 2+ years swim instructor/coaching experience. 2+ years’ experience as a competitive swimmer, preferred Must have current CPR and First Aid Certification. Experience working with parents, preferred Enthusiastic, dynamic presence with good communication skills Applicants must be available for all weekday practices and occasional weekend meets. Summer League Coach
AHI Swim Team, located in American Canyon, CA, (Napa County) is a program of excellence instilling a lifelong love of swimming. We are a Spring/ Summer Recreational Swim Team, part of the Twin County Swim League, following Contra Costa County Swim Rules, serving approximately 130 swimmers ages 4-18 in our community. The team is organized and managed by a volunteer parent board, and parent volunteers run the meets. We swim at the American Canyon High School Pool beginning late March, continuing through early August. Practices are held weekday evenings in April and May and switch to a combination of morning and evening for the summer. Coach schedules will be considered before summer practice times are finalized. Swim meets are held Saturday mornings or Wednesday evenings in June and July with 1-2 full weekend meets plus two all-day Saturday meets also planned. AHI seeks coaches for the 2020 season, coaches must be at least 18 years of age with a love of swimming and at least one year of competitive swimming or coaching experience. Coaches will collaborate with the coaching staff and parent board to inspire young swimmers to do their best as a valuable member of the team, encourage mentorship among swimmers, teach good sportsmanship, and to improve youth swimmer performance at all levels. Piranhas Aquatic Club is seeking a lead competitive coach to work with swimmers in our competitive team. Piranhas Aquatic Club is a year-round USA swimming program in the Elk Grove area. The organization also offers USMS Masters Swimming and a summer recreational swim team. Job Responsibilities On-deck coaching and prep from generally from 6-7:30 am and 3:30-7:30 pm Monday-Friday. Responsible for daily, weekly, and season planning for the competitive team in coordination with the Head Coach and will typically attend 1-2 meets per month. Works directly with the Head Coach to develop and oversee curriculum and practice schedules for the competitive team. Works directly with the Head Coach to maintain the direction of the program to follow the long-term plan. Assist the Head Coach in developing this plan. Assist with administrative duties for the team, which includes communication to swimmers and parents, develop and implement strategies to retain swimmers and assist with marketing and development of all PAC programs. Supervision of the assistant coaches as assigned by the Head Coach. This includes oversight of training plans, schedules and other. Attend all meets as agreed upon with the head coach. Assist with travel meets for all meets attended for groups that the coach oversees. Compensation Compensation for this position is based on qualifications and availability.
