Assignment Full-time, full-year position Regionally competitive benefits package. Starting salary range is $70,000+ with actual placement depending on experience and qualifications. Reports to the Superintendent   Note:  This position is not part of any collective bargaining group and the incumbent will be placed on an individual contract with the Minnetonka Public Schools.   Primary Objective of Position   Manage the entire aquatics activities of the community facilities. Coordinate all aquatics, swim club, and first aid and training programs. The five areas of focus for this position include safety, compliance, people management, program and financial management along with aquatic leadership in the community.    Job Responsibilities 1.  Manage the aquatics facilities in the Minnetonka School District  and surrounding beach areas within the District. 2.  Coordinate the scheduling of all events at the aquatics facilities. 3.  Supervise the Head Swim Club Coach, Head Age Group Coach, Lifeguard Services Coordinator, Aquatics Recreational Activities Coordinator, and Masters Swim Coaches, and Aquatics Office Assistant.  4.  Work closely with the Coordinator of Facilities Services in regard to maintenance, mechanical or custodial issues. 5.  Coordinate the purchasing, inventory and maintenance of pool equipment. 6.  Manage programs, clinics and classes associated with the facilities including scheduling registration and payroll. 7.  Work with staff to investigate and recommend strategies to effectively manage risk in aquatics facilities. 8.  Maximize revenue producing opportunities through traditional and non-traditional usage of aquatics facilities. 9.  Develop and monitor annual budget for aquatics facilities and programs. 10.  Coordinate with physical education staff and district administration on the use of aquatics facilities. 11.  Coordinate with the Anchor Club in the support of all aquatics activities. 12.  Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.   Job Requirements  1.  Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Sports Administration or related field is preferred. 2.  Minimum of two years of successful related experience, including experience in a supervisory or leadership role. 3.  Considerable knowledge of sports and recreational administration. 4.  Considerable knowledge of the equipment, facilities, operations and techniques used in a comprehensive community aquatics program. 5.  Ability to develop, coordinate, and direct varied activities involved in a community aquatics program. 6.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other agencies, participants, instructors, community leaders, and the general public. 7.  Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. 8.  Ability to plan and supervise the work of paid staff and volunteers.   *Note: It is possible to combine the Aquatics Director position with the girls’ and/or boys’ high school swimming and diving head coach assignments beginning with the 2020-21 season. The Salem YMCA is seeking a leader with a background in aquatics to manage the operations of our Aquatics Department.   The Aquatics Director is responsible for all aspects of the instructional and recreational aquatics experience. Located in the heart of downtown Salem, the Salem YMCA provides over 150 swim lessons to youth weekly, offers aqua activities for all ages, and is host to a local High School Swim Team.  Key responsibilities of this role include recruiting, retaining and transitioning swimmers of all ages and abilities through the programs and working collaboratively with the competitive team to achieve a successful conversion rate of instructional swimmers to the competitive program. Alpha Aquatics is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Senior Level Coach available to join our staff as soon as possible and coach at the brand new El Segundo-Wiseburn Aquatics Center in sunny El Segundo, California. In this position, you will be working along Head Coach Octavio Alesi helping develop senior level club swimmers, and assisting with the daily swim club administrative duties.    Applicants must have at least 2 years of experience at a collegiate or swim club level position.  Compensation based on qualifications.

The  Vashon Seals Swim Team  is a Level 1 USA-Swimming Club on Vashon Island - located in between Seattle and Tacoma, Washington. We are a member of the Pacific Northwest Swimming LSC.  Our team is growing and we are in need of additional coaches. Ideal candidates will have a passion for swimming and working with young athletes in a fun and dynamic atmosphere that promotes camaraderie and personal achievement.  Our program is focused on competitive and non-competitive swimmers between the ages of 5 and 18, and we offer six different levels of instruction: Seal Pups, Stroke School, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Swim Fit (60 to 70 swimmers in total). We train at the  Vashon Community Pool  (6 lanes - 25 yards) and enjoy the best of both worlds with 6 months of outdoor swimming and 6 months of swimming under an inflatable bubble.  Vashon is a unique and breathtaking place and we are lucky to have a wonderful group of kids and supportive families. Piranhas Aquatic Club is seeking a lead competitive coach to work with swimmers in our competitive team. Piranhas Aquatic Club is a year-round USA swimming program in the Elk Grove area. The organization also offers USMS Masters Swimming and a summer recreational swim team. Job Responsibilities On-deck coaching and prep from generally from 6-7:30 am and 3:30-7:30 pm Monday-Friday. Responsible for daily, weekly, and season planning for the competitive team in coordination with the Head Coach and will typically attend 1-2 meets per month. Works directly with the Head Coach to develop and oversee curriculum and practice schedules for the competitive team. Works directly with the Head Coach to maintain the direction of the program to follow the long-term plan. Assist the Head Coach in developing this plan. Assist with administrative duties for the team, which includes communication to swimmers and parents, develop and implement strategies to retain swimmers and assist with marketing and development of all PAC programs. Supervision of the assistant coaches as assigned by the Head Coach. This includes oversight of training plans, schedules and other. Attend all meets as agreed upon with the head coach. Assist with travel meets for all meets attended for groups that the coach oversees. Compensation Compensation for this position is based on qualifications and availability.
