Pool Management: Hire and train lifeguards, ensure proper certifications and training. Hire and develop a team of swim coaches Maintain Certified Pool Operator certification, Red Cross Life Saving, AED/CPR. Manage the pool and splash pad in accordance with the Town/State regulations. Balancing of chemicals to provide a safe environment, work with Health Department to adhere to pool operation codes, be proactive in preventative maintenance, ensure all standards are being met by the lifeguard team. Hockomock Area YMCA Lightning is currently looking for an assistant Age Group Coach. The HAY Lightning competes in NE Swimming LCS, as well as the YMCA League. Successful candidate will work along side head coach, and other staff coaching the more competitive age group swimmers that are approximately 10 to 14 years old. Responsibilities: Write, oversee and coach daily workouts Arrives on time to set up and prepare for daily practices. Attends swim meets as needed Communicates with the Head Coach and other staff effectively. Collaborates with other coaches and groups to build a strong seasonal training plan. Attends staff meetings in person or via zoom.
