Tidal Wave is looking for 2 part time coaches (approx. 10-15 hrs per week). We also need one or more lifeguards (approx. 20 hrs per week) 

The Village of Shorewood Hills is accepting applications for the position of Pool Manager. This is presently a part time, year round position with seasonally adjusted and flexible hours. The position is responsible for managing all operations of the pool including staffing, purchasing, programming and mechanical functions including opening and closing. During the summer season, the pool employs about 70-80 individuals. The Village encourages a wide range of individuals to apply, including those with management, aquatics programming, and staffing expertise. Mechanical/technical aptitudes in maintaining a pool are desirable. The Shorewood Hills Pool is a 50-Meter, 10-lane, outdoor facility.  There is an additional wading pool with water features as well as a concession area and locker room facilities.  The pool has a diving well incorporated into the deep end, with two, 1-meter diving boards.  Our pool operates on seasonal memberships that are open to both Shorewood Hills residents as well as those from around the Madison area.  A typical day at the pool will incorporate open swim times as well as organized programs that include swim and dive lessons, swim and dive teams, water ballet, masters swimming, and water aerobics.  The pool is generally in use from 6:00 AM until 9:00 PM.  In addition, we host several events including such things as a water ballet show, a triathlon, swim and dive meets, and various membership events.    To apply complete a Village employment application, along with a cover letter, and resume. acac is seeking a lead competitive coach to work primarily with our senior swimmers in our competitive team. acac also offers USMS Masters Swimming, a non competitive swim program and a summer recreational swim team.  The Assistant Coach conducts practices for acac swim team members following the head coach’s guidelines. The Assistant Coach works with children of different ages and ability levels so that they progress effectively to higher levels of swimming. Essential Functions and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): On deck coaching primarily weekday mornings 5:00 -8:00am (Tuesday - Friday, some Saturdays). Other shifts may become available. Responsible for daily, weekly and season planning for the Senior group with the Head Coach and may attend 1 - 2 meets a month. Plans and conducts effective and progressive practices (in water and dryland) on a solo platform, with assistance from Head Coach. Maintains vigilance while conducting practice in order to maintain constant control of the group and emphasize safety at all times. Safety is our number one concern, thus acac swim team keeps Safe Sport at the forefront of our program. Successful completion of all certifications required by USA swimming, The ability to address swimmers of various skill levels as well as coordinate effective practices for all parties in attendance. Promote the sport of swimming in a positive and enthusiastic manner to swimmers, their families and our club members. Understand and address that swimming is a lifelong sport and thus educate participants the healthy benefits of technically proficient strokes. RESPONSIBILITIES Performs the Essential Functions and Responsibilities as described (other duties may be assigned) If unable to work, proactively seeks substitutes for shifts and immediately informs supervisor of the substitution Wears proper uniform at all times while at work and always presents the acac brand and standard anytime and anywhere the acac uniform is worn Exhibits a positive attitude at all times and upholds acac’s values of teamwork, customer service, and engagement Attend Staff meetings and other professional trainings as required. Work well in a dynamic team environment: Swimmers, parents and other coaches to help promote the sport of swimming. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED preferred Safety Training for Swim Coaches (STSC) required Current USA Swimming Certifications including USA Swimming background check, Athlete Protection Training, and Level 1 Certification: Foundations of Coaching Prior USA Swimming or YMCA Swimming coaching experience preferred Current or expired Red Cross WSI certification preferred Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications a plus Superior customer service skills Must enjoy and be able to work with children of all ages and skill levels Able to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends. Must enjoy working in a team environment Excellent communication skills Compensation Compensation for this position is based on qualifications. Reimbursement for certifications required by USA swimming, travel and other team related expenses will be covered. 

Under the supervision of the­­­­­­­­­­­ Senior Director of Competitive Swimming, the YOTA Age Group Site Coach is responsible for the leadership and direction of the YMCA’s Competitive Swimming program at the Chapel Hill N.C. site. They are responsible for managing these functions in accordance with the stated mission, goals, and policies established by the administrative staff, governing committees. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides vision, leadership, and management of the day-to-day operations of the successful, values-oriented YMCA of the Triangle competitive swimming program for our YMCA site that includes multiple age group levels. Recruits and hires diverse staff and volunteer teams across multiple dimensions of diversity.  On-boards and develops them for success. Provides vision, leadership, and management to the part time staff that includes coaching and leadership traits to ensure a high quality swim program. Models relationship-building skills in all interactions. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations. Leads implementation of open, clear, consistent and effective communication with athletes, parents, branch staff, volunteers and coaches. Abides by the YMCA of the USA Swimming and Diving, ASCA, and USA Swimming Code of Ethics. Serves as an ambassador to the community by actively promoting the YMCA aquatics and wellness programs. Maintain open communication with participants, parents, YOTA staff and all YMCA Aquatics staff members. Work with Senior Director of Competitive Swimming Team to establish annual program goals and work toward accomplishing these goals. Plan, prepare, and conduct team practices in accordance with program objectives, guidelines, and policies including attendance records, skill reviews and training plans. Prepare and submit all necessary information for swim meets and attend meets as assigned. Support the Senior Director of Competitive Swimming by monitoring the budget and adhering to the budget philosophy of the YMCA of the Triangle.
