The Y is the nation's largest provider of swim lessons to increase skill and safety in and around water. This position provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming classes. Part-time position instructing students in swimming and/or exercise fundamentals. Ensures proper techniques and use of equipment while providing a safe environment for learning. We teach classes ranging from Parent/Child through Adult. Must be available to work flexible hours and be comfortable working with all ages and skill levels. Under the direction of the Aquatics Director, the Lifeguard is responsible for providing a safe environment for all participants in and around the pool. This includes responding to emergencies and administering CPR/AED, First Aid and Oxygen effectively according to certifications. Lifeguards must be alert and identifiable at all times and keep a professional appearance.
