Assistant Swim Coach
The Aquatics Assistant Swim Team Coach will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and will help our Swim Team members improve their swimming in our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools. A typical day for an Assistant Swim Team Coach could include working with the Head Swim Team Coach in writing and leading Swim Team Group Workouts. They will assist the Head Swim team Coach in Registering new participants for the Team as well as help to maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities. Job Duties and Responsibilities Provides competitive swimmers the opportunity to master technique Leads daily practices under the direction of the head coach Promotes all Life Time products, services and programs Position Requirements High School Diploma or GED 1 year of swim coaching experience Member of ASCA Member of USA Swimming CPR/AED certification required within 60 days of hire Successfully complete and pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs Preferred Requirements* ASCA Level 1 Certification or higher Job Type: Part-time

Rockwall Independent School District and the Rockwall Aquatic Center of Excellence (RACE) Swim Team Rockwall, Texas (20 miles East of downtown Dallas) Position: Full-time Assistant Club Coach Overview The Rockwall ISD is seeking a qualified USA Swimming club coach as soon as possible. We are looking for a full-time assistant club swim coach that is willing and able to coach with the on-site club team and perform team and facility duties as necessary.  The RISD Aquatic Center is a 56,000 sq.ft, 50 meter X 25 yard facility with 2 movable bulkheads, 2X1m and 2X3m diving boards and a 4-lane swim lesson pool.  RACE is a year-round swim team with roughly 375 members that include 13 different levels (visit www.rockwallaquatics.com for more team information).    RACE has achieved 3 Silver Level and 3 Bronze Level National Club Excellence Awards from USA Swimming over the last 6 years. Responsibilities and Expectations -Write, attend, actively coach and supervise all assigned club practices, including every weekday evening and at least 3 mornings per week. -Be willing and prepared to coach practice groups, and meets, on weekends and on/around holidays. -Work closely with RACE Head Coach and Head Age-Group coach in developing a comprehensive program to maximize performance potential. -Assist Head Coach and/or Head Age-Group Coach with all scheduled/assigned wet and dry duties. -Be willing and able to help organize and run swim meets (experience with Team Unify, Hy-Tek Team/Meet Manager and Daktronics preferred). -Attend all staff meetings and team functions -Prepare for, attend and actively coach meets, meet-related activities -Be willing to understand, adopt and incorporate Rockwall ISD policies and procedures into your daily work responsibilities. -Be willing to adopt and incorporate RACE team philosophies and goals into your coaching -Honor and promote RACE Swimming traditions and spirit -Demonstrate, teach and encourage good technique and sportsmanship -Communicate with swimmers, parents and other coaches in a productive and professional manner (in                    person or through email, phone, etc.)  -Handle disciplinary/behavioral matters professionally   Qualifications - Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills - Excellent organization skills - Minimum of 3 years of swim coaching experience (UIL and USA preferred) -ASCA Level 3 or higher (or equivalent experience) preferred - Background in competitive swimming (Collegiate experience preferred) - Proven ability to work in a team environment - Maintain current First-Aid, CPR, AED and lifeguard certification - Successfully complete USA Swimming background check, athlete protection training, and athlete safety training. -Successfully complete Rockwall ISD background check Compensation $40,000-$45,000 salary.  Commensurable with Experience Please send a resume, cover letter, and list of three references to: Neil Walker Neil.walker@rockwallisd.org 469-698-7380

Senior Coach
Lakeside Aquatic Club   is currently accepting resumes for the position of   Senior Coach .  The ideal candidate must demonstrate sound knowledge of energy system training, advanced stroke mechanics and the ability to positively motivate and teach swimmers ages 12-18 years old.  This coach would coach two groups with the primary responsibility of coaching our top 13-14 year old group, as well as assisting with our National Team Group. Lakeside Aquatic Club (LAC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization focused on bringing all levels of swimming to the area from learn-to-swim programs to national level development. LAC is one of the largest and most successful teams in the state of Texas, with over 1,000 swimmers. Our swimmers are Olympic Trials qualifiers, Paralympic Trials qualifiers, high school state champions, collegiate athletes and NCAA champions. LAC is a USA Swimming Silver Medal Club and has been a two time Gold Medal Club. LAC currently operates in 5 facilities in 3 areas in NorthEast Tarrant County and Southern Denton County: The Colony, Flower Mound/Lewisville and Keller. Three of LAC’s current facilities are school district owned and operated, two are city owned and operated and LAC has great relationships with all facilities and management. LAC’s programs span from Learn-to-Swim all the way to Masters swimming for adults. All Programs are taught by highly qualified coaches using our proven curriculum that makes transitioning from one level to another seamless and successful. Essential Job Tasks Develop and coach LAC programs as assigned.  Plan, prepare, and conduct team practices in accordance with the LAC curriculum. Follow a seasonal, weekly, and daily training and practice plan for assigned groups based on the Head Coach’s vision.  Maintain an accurate swimmer roster and attendance records. Create smaller workout groups within the larger group for the purpose of providing more challenging workouts to all swimmers in the group Create workout sets designed to develop swimmers for the next group Proactively develop and maintain professional relationships with current swimmers through constructive feedback, encouragement, and general interaction. Perform responsibilities as assigned in the current LAC Administrative Duties list. Communicate professionally with swimmers, parents, and coaches by promptly answering telephone calls and emails according to LAC policies and procedures. Job qualifications College Degree ASCA Level 4 Certified Coach 5-7 years competitive swimming experience 5-7 years competitive coaching experience with A and above level swimmers Able to communicate and engage all ages in practice and keep them excited about training at a high level. Energetic, patient and gives simple instructions. Must be able to foster an environment of excellence in swimming through drills, dryland, aerobic/ anaerobic training and racing. Understands stroke development and advanced aerobic training for age group and senior swimmers. Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills Computer proficiency, including email, Internet navigation, Team Unify, Meet Manager and Microsoft Office software.
