Title: Head Masters Coach
Effective Date: March 1, willing to work with candidate.
Supervisor: CEO/Head Coach
Directing the growth, development, and implementation of all aspects of the Sarasota Sharks Masters program.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage all Masters practices/staff as appropriate as well as the yearly, seasonal, weekly, and daily plans/practices.
Communicate to/manage the membership rosters through Team Unify.
Work in unison with the full-time staff of the Sarasota Sharks including meetings and office hours.
Responsible for growth of the overall Masters and adult training programs.
Create and implement new adult programs to service the community and build the Sarasota Sharks Masters program.
Attend and coordinate all Masters meets when appropriate, and represent the Sarasota Sharks appropriately.
Support Age Group program where needed including events where needed.
Implement, coordinate, and direct Masters events in an fiscally responsible manner.
Manage team committees as needed.
Acquire and maintain all certifications required or recommended by U.S. Masters Swimming and USA Swimming.
Represent the Sarasota Sharks where appropriate at local and national governing levels. (i.e. LMSC and USMS)
May be required to complete other duties as assigned by the CEO
Good standing with U.S. Masters Swimming and USA Swimming
College degree preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Team Unify and/or Hytek
Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
Microsoft Office 365
Hy-Tek Swimming Software
Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Skills in program planning and development.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 100 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four hours per day.
Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, sun exposure, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
