I started swimming at age ten, and continued competitively all the way through college. I love all things athletic, and I love working with and feel very confident working with kids, teens, and adults. Hopefully swimming will continue to be a fantastic aspect and integral part of my life, and hopefully i'll be able to give back to a community that's given me so much.
Im willing to relocate for a full-time position.
During the summer between my first and second year of College, I worked as an assistant coach at the Oswego IL park district's Otters Swim Team. It was primarily with ages of 5-14, and was likely the most fun i've yet to have at a job. I would've continued on in future summers had it not been for my college research and internships.
This was my first and only job during high school. I taught swim lessons to children starting at 2-3 years old all the way up to 14 years old. This work confirmed to myself my ability to work with kids, and felt like the environment where I was supposed to start working. It was fun, challenging, and engaging for myself and hopefully the kids as well.
As of January 2020, this is a current part time job i'm working. I started my training as an EMT directly after graduating from college. Hoping to try my hand helping people, it seems as though in the small amount of time i've worked at Newark I have already learned so much. It is definitely not an easy job, and constantly EMS provides it's workers with new challenges to overcome. I'll likely continue part time with EMS whenever I can throughout my life.
