I have been swimming competitively since I was five years old. I swam for one year in college at Transylvania University. I have coached the Landen Stingrays for six years. I started by coaching the mini age group and quickly progressed to being the assistant head coach of the team this past summer. I thoroughly enjoy being a coach and sharing my love of swimming with the next generation.
As far back as I can remember I have always had a passion for developing relationships within communities. I feel that my next step would to be to continue as the Director of Aquatics/Head Coach. This position would allow me to share my passion of aquatics with all the community. I am prepared to perform all the duties and responsibilities that the position requires with diligence and integrity to provide the community best experience possible.
For the last 20 years I have also been running a private swim club of over 175 members that has a yearly revenue of over $400,000. I feel that with my 30 years of experience, which includes coaching high school swimming, football, and lacrosse along with college admissions, college coaching along my athletic advancement experience that I can carry out the demands of the Director of Aquatics/Head Coach position Development. Within a small business, I feel one of the major areas will be to think outside the box and find ways to build relationships within the area while building engagement with the community to improve all programs and funding of programs
