I am writing to express my strong interest in joining USA Swimming as a full-time or part-time staff.  I've been an avid swimmer since my childhood. I grew up in Turkey, and have been encourage to swim, coached by a family friend. But I've been never given the chance to compete due to environmental and financial restrictions.  I started my son with swim lessons when he was 6 months old. He's now swimming in a local team in DFW Area, and just made it to the competitive team. I couldn't be more proud. I take him to his practices daily and volunteer whenever I can with his team. I still swim, 3-4 times a week, and sometimes with my son, who can now easily beat me.  I have B.S. in Computer Engineering with strong technical and management experience of 25+ years. My qualifications to succeed in this position include: ●      I led professional staff through large-scale projects during my career, ●      I have successfully analyzed business requirements, designed, developed, and supported live-use applications, ●      I carried an innovative approach while managing high-scale programs, by adapting to changes, considering a wide range of ideas from cross-functional teams, and making data-driven decisions, ●      I work in high-pressured environments where excellence is the key to success, ●      I manage my time, and plan, organize , and prioritize the tasks effectively, ●      I communicate effectively both orally and in writing, with different cultures and technical knowledge levels, ●      I establish effective work relationships with subordinates and my co-workers, and I provide exceptional customer service for all customers, ●      I am an Agilist, experienced in software development life cycle, database systems concepts, and standards, and hand-on experience in newer technologies such as AWS, API. To whom it may concern- I have spent 40 years in the Performing Arts. Along the way, I have taught and coached many many hundreds of swimmers. I am now leaving the entertainment profession, and would like to spend the rest of my life in competitive swimming. You can see my resume is far far ranging, but the one constant throughout all has been Swimming. I have been sole proprietor of my own business in teaching and training swimmers in New York City and the Hamptons since roughly 2011, before which I was vice principal of the swimming school at Asphalt Green. I have also  taught my own exclusive clientele in Los Angeles and Dallas, TX all going back to my first job coaching the “tadpoles” in my own Age Group swim team when I was roughly 13 or 14. I was a varsity swimmer at Hendrix College and a Masters swimmer at the McBurney Y, Asphalt Green and Baruch Masters all in NYC.  I have taught all ages, from 9 months to 87 years old, and numerous swimmers went on to compete with success. I have a special positive rapport with younger swimmers—perhaps my being a performer has played a large part in this. I have not coached competitors for a long while, because my focus has been in the performing and storytelling Arts. I do not split or dissipate my focus, and devote my attention. For the reason of my hiatus I would like to begin a transition back into the competitive field in partnership with a head coach from whom I can learn the latest practices in conditioning and training.  Much has not changed in the sport, but some has. Motivating children to discover a world of excellence beyond themselves is what I do best.  That said, I can still jump feet first or head first into what must be done.

With twelve years of comprehensive experience as a swim coach, physical education teacher, and underwater sports coach, coupled with a decade-long tenure as an elite swimming athlete, I bring a multifaceted approach to athlete development and team leadership. My extensive background includes national and international achievements as an athlete and a coach, underpinned by scientific approaches and strong communication skills with athletes and parents. I excel in providing leadership to colleagues and fostering teamwork across various departments within sports clubs. Additionally, my expertise extends to leveraging Google Education Tools as a Google Licensed Educator and utilizing advanced video analysis techniques to optimize swimmer performance.

Hello! My name is Claire Lawley. I am a 26-year-old nursing student at Chamberlain University, I am looking to go into sports medicine, and I have 14 years of competitive swimming experience. I was a swim instructor and lifeguard through the Geneva Park District, as well as Goldfish Swim School, and am looking to continue on as a coach. My love for swimming runs deep, as I started swimming before I could walk (not joking, just ask my father). In my free time, I am an avid writer, reader, and you can often find me in the pool at my gym!

Hello! My name is Jackson Borchers, and I am looking for a coaching position. This would be my first official time coaching; however, I do have experience running a Swim Club from college and many years of experience in the water. I will be a Graduate Student at Towson University this fall!

Throughout my years of being in the swimming community I have had the privilege of coaching four years at the high school level, six years at the club level and finally making the move to coaching at the collegiate level for DePauw University for three years. All of these experiences have been fundamental in helping me see that coaching is the career path that I have chosen for my future. Everything I have learned and experienced comes from the fifteen years of swimming competitively, my years as a high school swimmer, and for my years as a collegiate athlete in swimming and water polo. Throughout my years as an athlete, I have been able to experience many different styles of coaching, techniques and understanding of new ways to teach all strokes.  I have had the pleasure of working with many different coaches and the styles they all have.  Through my prior experience as an athlete and as an assistant coach.  I have learned many lessons and techniques that have helped me be an excellent and proficient coach - all of which I employ in my coaching duties today. Among others these include teaching proper stroke technique, instilling a winning work ethic, running drills to maximize conditioning, helping maintain a healthy mental attitude and explaining race strategies for many of the events.
