I am an award-winning sportswriter at the Las Vegas Review-Journal, and was the point person for this year’s coverage of Las Vegas-area athletes competing in the Olympics. Among my responsibilities was the coverage of the four Las Vegas swimmers who competed for the U.S. (one won gold, two won silver and the other finished fourth).
I would love to share those stories with you.
My editors have indicated I also will lead our local Olympics coverage heading into Paris in 2024, and we expect at least three Las Vegas swimmers to be strong contenders to qualify.
Most of my career has been dedicated to covering college athletics, and in 2016, I became President of the 1,300-member Football Writers Association of America. But I am versatile and have experience covering a wide range of sports, and absolutely loved writing about swimming at this year's Olympics.
Two of my passions are sports and global travel, and it would be an absolute dream to be part of Team USA as it prepares for next year's World Championships in Japan.
