I am a former swimmer, and I have practiced teaching swimming in my native country Belarus since 1999. I gained tremendous experience and confidence while I was practicing. I enjoy teaching and I am an experienced swimming instructor/coach. I have expertise and determination in teaching athletes of 6-16 years old. My students had achieved success in native and international competitions, including National Competitions for Junior Swimmers in Belarus and Lithuania (2013-2015), and even Junior Olympics and Far Western in the US (2010-2012). In 2017 I moved to the US and started practicing swim coaching at Macher Swim School in Columbia, Missouri. I was a Deputy of the head coach. Patrick has 10+ years of swim teaching experience and loves empowering children, teens and adults with the confidence swim education instills. He was a competitive swimmer for 17 years, rising from neighborhood summer league to a club swim record holder to a top swimmer on the University of Denver's Division One swim team. Patrick is passionate about swimming. He believes that swim coaching takes patience, listening and a good attitude. Patrick has helped people from all walks of life move through the roadblocks of fear and self-doubt to become better people and swimmers. I am from Houston and currently attend TCU. I was on a competitive summer swim team in Houston for 16 years. I was as a volunteer coach and an assistant coach on that same team for 8 years. Also last summer I was an assistant coach for the Trophy Club Tritons. 

I am currently in the process of completing my master's degree in Athletic leadership. One of the classes I am taking now is Athletic Coaching which helps me in the future when I need to start recruiting athletes for a swim team. I started when I was 5 years old and swam all the way through college. I swam at Westtown Aquatics all of my life and for High School I also swam for West Chester Henderson. I decided to attend Albright College because I felt it was the perfect fit for me. During my college years, my main event was the 200 back where I broke the school record in 2021 and then again broke my own record in 2022. In 2019, I was a two-time finalist in the conference in 200 back and 200 fly. In 2020, 2021, and 2022 I was a three-time finalist in the conference where I swam the 100 fly, 100 back, and 200 back. For my last year of swimming I decided to swim the 500 free, 200 back, and 100 back.

My experiences come from coaching four years at the Highschool level, as well as five years at the club level and finally making the move to coaching at the collegiate level for DePauw University for three years.  Many of the experiences that I have come across came from the fifteen years of swimming competitively, my years as a high school swimmer, and my years as a collegiate athlete in swimming and water polo. Throughout my years as an athlete I have been able to experience many different styles of coaching, techniques and understanding of new ways to teach certain strokes.  I have had the pleasure of working with many different coaching styles as well as coaches who have brought a new way in looking at the sport.  Through my prior experience as a teammate and as an assistant coach, I have learned many lessons and techniques that have helped me be an excellent and proficient coach - all of which I employ in my coaching duties today. Among others these include teaching proper stroke technique, instilling a winning work ethic, running drills to maximize conditioning, helping maintain a healthy mental attitude and explaining race strategies for many of the events.
