 The Coast Guard Blue Dolphin mission is to enhance our safe sport team environment which empowers every swimmer to achieve their full potential.  We will promote team unity and the love of swimming, taking pride in every swimmer’s success. We believe in providing multiple training groups in accordance with the ability levels and aspirations of our athletes.  We foster the enjoyment and love of competitive swimming and strive for growth and excellence in our team members.  With these principles as our foundation, the Blue Dolphins excel at local, state and national levels.

CGBD offers high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. All of our coaches, as members of the American Swimming Coaches Association, have access to the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth coaches of any sport in the United States. They provide assurances that the time children spend in swimming will be quality time.

We are a non-profit club, run by an elected Board of Directors.  Our team is roughly 380 swimmers and plus we run a two site swim lessons program.

Age Group Coach
Coast Guard Blue Dolphin Swim Team (CGBD) is a silver medal swim club with a competitive and comprehensive swim team and lessons program in the Hampton Roads area. Founded in 1965, CGBD has a long-standing rich tradition and history of success in swimming on the local, regional, and national levels. Age G roup Coach   will report to the head of the Age Group Program and assist and report to the Head Coach regarding the daily operations of running the club. This is a great opportunity to be involved with establishing the future direction of the program. We train out of facilities in Hampton, Newport News, Ft. Eustis and Williamsburg, VA.
