Our Team:
The McAllen Swim Club (MSC) is an established non-profit, parent run, swim club that
originated in 1963. Since 1994, MSC has been home to close to 5,000 participants and
continues to produce many of the area’s top swimming performers, most of which compete at
multiple levels each year including UIL district, regional, & state competition. Throughout the
years our athletes have also gone on to compete at various national level meets and
many have gone on to swim at NCAA Div I, II & III Universities. We are recognized by USA
Swimming as a Level 2 Club for being a parent governed organization and operate year round
with 2 competitive swim seasons. We strive to encourage kids to reach their fullest potential,
display good sportsmanship & have a great time! MSC is a non-profit & member support
organization that relies on parent volunteers, fundraising events & local support to keep our
team operational.
We currently operate out of two facilities, Nikki Rowe Natatorium and Boys and Girls club in
McAllen. Our mission is to promote the sport of swimming and, in the process, help develop
the character of the individual swimmers. Our goal is to foster a desire in swimmers to develop
themselves to their full potential through self-discipline and an attitude of respect for oneself
and others. We aim to encourage an interest in swimming as a sport and life-long habit in a fun,
safe, and family-oriented environment.
