Coast Guard Blue Dolphins

Coast Guard Blue Dolphins is a non-profit, board-run, year-round competitive swim team located in communities on the Virginia Peninsula (Newport News, Yorktown, Hampton, and Williamsburg) with over 400 members. Our team was originally established as the Langley AFB Blue Dolphins in 1965.  We were a sponsored youth services team on the local Air Force Base.  In 1976, the Commandant of the US Coast Guard Reserve Training Center in Yorktown invited our team to use the aquatic and gym facility at the training center.  We became a private non-sponsored program and we became know as the Coast Guard Blue Dolphins.  As our team and program has grown on the Virginia Peninsula we have expanded to several facilities.  Our mission is empowering every athlete to achieve their full potential in a safe sport, team environment.  Promote team unity and the love of swimming. We are a model swim club for athletes, families, and coaches in Virginia Swimming.
