Kingfish Swimming Rhode Island

About our Organization

Kingfish Rhode Island (KING-RI) is lead by Matt Emmert, Head Swimming Coach at Roger Williams University and Jillian Emmert, Early Childhood Teacher at St. Michaels Country Day School.

Kingfish Rhode Island provides all levels of swimming, from learn to swim, to National Qualifiers, as well as Masters & Tria-athletes. We have a diverse staff of Recreational, USA, High School and Collegiate Coaches, who are eager to provide opportunities for swimmers at all levels to train and compete year-round.

Kingfish Rhode Island Mission Statement:

Our mission is to promote a safe, healthy, fun, & competitive environment.
We believe that positive process produces performance, and with this in mind, no dreams are too big or small for members within our organization.

Kingfish RI Vision Statement:

KFRI’s vision is to use swimming as a path to teach skills that develop responsible, resilient people, both inside and outside the realm of athletics. We strive to show that any person can achieve success in our sport by teaching our athletes an appreciation of consistency, effort, and resilience. We value making a connection with each and every member that touches, so they can optimize their full potential in and out of the pool. Our value driven approach is the differentiator from similar clubs or organizations in our region.
