Menlo Aquatics ( www.menloaquatics.com ) is seeking a well-qualified, self-driven individual interested in helping us continue to build our 10/ under developmental program. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, down the road from Facebook and nestled in a gorgeous public park, Menlo Aquatics provides top tier swimming education to all its swimmers and swim families. We are looking for a great coach to help up continue the tradition and continue our fun, motivational, and winning atmosphere.   Duties Include: Maintaining a weekly and season plan for all levels coached. This includes when to tailor practice schedule to optimize training, social events, incentive programs, etc. Communicating with all group(s) coached. This will include a weekly/ bi-weekly as well as input on the team newsletter email as well as any additional support emails that must be addressed over the course of the week and/ or month Helping manage assigned pool space (lane set-up). Please allow 15 minutes on the pool deck immediately before a scheduled practice and 15 minutes immediately following to assess your pool situation and to answer parent/swimmer questions. Educating swimmers and parents on team culture and competitive swimming etiquette. Maintaining good standing as a coach member of USA Swimming. Assistance with this is provided by the club itself. Working with team and families with technique clinics and in house swim meets Logging daily attendance for swim group(s) Ensuring the safety of swimmers (staying with swimmers if we are closing     Hours and Location: Hours for this position include approximately 15 hours of practice time per week as agreed to with the Head Coach, all at the Burgess Pool or satellite pool locations, plus additional time spent preparing the facility for practices, meeting with coworkers, and responding to member inquiries. Some administrative work must be done on site at the aquatic facility, in addition to staff meetings. Practice hours include early afternoon practice sessions from 4:00pm-7:00pm regularly. A typical month will also include 1-2 weekend swim meets/competitions.   Salary & Benefits: This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt and non-benefitted position.
