Since 1956, the Ottawa YMCA has been carrying out its mission of putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.  Through membership and programs, the Ottawa YMCA opens its doors to all people – no matter what age, income, or physical ability – and serves as a gathering place for the community, family and youth. 

The Ottawa YMCA  is a cutting edge 67,000-square-foot facility which combines wellness, community, and scenic views, embracing both its natural surroundings and the architectural charm of downtown Ottawa. The facility features a welcoming lobby area with a double-faced fireplace and a full glass wall showcasing an aquatic center with pools for lap swimming, warm water therapy, and children’s play. The wellness center, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Illinois and Fox rivers, is complemented by a suspended track, group exercise studios (including a rooftop terrace option), flexible multipurpose spaces, and  multigenerational gathering area with a demonstration kitchen. Exterior design elements reflect Ottawa’s historic character, while art installations and community-funded additions celebrate local generosity and heritage.
