Job Title: Masters Swim Coach

Job Overview: 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Masters Swim Coach to join our dynamic team in Yucaipa, CA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for swimming, excellent communication skills, and experience working with adult swimmers of various skill levels. This position offers the opportunity to work with motivated athletes who are committed to improving their swimming technique and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead group swim practices for Masters swimmers, focusing on stroke technique, endurance, speed, and overall fitness.

• Develop and implement training plans tailored to individual swimmers’ needs and goals.

• Provide constructive feedback to swimmers during practice to help them improve their performance.

• Organize and prepare swimmers for local, regional, and national swim competitions, if applicable.

• Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive training environment that encourages personal growth and team camaraderie.

• Monitor swimmers’ progress and adjust training programs as needed.

• Promote the program to attract new members and maintain current participation levels.

• Assist with the administration of team events, meetings, and communication.

Qualifications:

• Certified as a USA Swimming Coach

• Experience coaching Masters swimmers or adult athletes, particularly in a swim team or group setting.

• Strong knowledge of stroke mechanics, training techniques, and swim strategies.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate swimmers of all skill levels.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications preferred or willing to be obtained

• Ability to commit to a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

• College-level swimming experience or competitive swimming background.

• Previous experience planning and leading swim meets or competitions.

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly wage, based on experience and certification level.
