Southern California Aquatics is a kids novice swimming program introduces the sport of swimming to the Culver City community. We offer technique instruction and training year round for all ages from beginners to those striving for excellence! Our programs and attendance policy are arranged according to ability, age, & commitment level. The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability. At SCAQ we aim to provide the opportunity for swimmers to develop in a safe and nurturing environment we want our swimmers to develop a lifetime love for swimming and the water that they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.

SCAQ Kids is looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic swim coach for our novice/recreational team located in Culver City. Our team focuses on the fundamentals of swim technique for kids who may or may not move on to competition teams. We swim M-F 6-7pm at the Culver Plunge, and looking for a coach to help out 1-2 times per week or as needed. Position could lead to more hours, as well as potential coach our adult masters team. The Wildwood School is seeking an assistant coach for middle school swim team. Job runs roughly from the beginning of September to the end of October. The school campus is located in West LA, but the team practices at the Culver City Plunge. Practices are 3x/week for 1 hour, plus 1 meet a week at various locations around Los Angeles. Duties include: -escorting the team via bus from the school to the pool (school will pay for Uber/Lyft to return you to your starting location) -on deck coaching assisting the head coach -email communication with parents and swimmers -meet result write ups for the school athletic newsletter CPR/First Aid certification required; school will reimburse for cost Competitive swimming experience and technical knowledge of swimming preferred.
