Piranhas Swim Club, a year round competitive swim club serving South Minneapolis & Richfield, is now hiring for an energetic and knowledgable lead coach for our youngest age group training group (Age Group 1).   Qualified applicants should be USA Swimming Certified and in good standing (or able to achieve all certifications before September 2019, includes passing background checks). They should have the ability to create and facilitate focused practices developing and working with swimmers on proper stroke technique and goal setting.  Candidates should exhibit a desire to assist young swimmers in achieving their goals and cultivating a love for the sport of swimming.  Responsibilities are, but not limited to working with the Head Coach to oversee the training of Age Group 1 swimmers primarily ages 9-11, including writing practice sets and creating season plans. Cultivate a culture of fun, interactive, and competitive atmosphere that motivates swimmers to attain and surpass their goals and expectations. Ability to communicate with parents via email and interpersonal communication. This person will also be responsible for registering athletes for swim meets. Salary commensurate with experience. This is a part time position; Age Group 1 practices Monday-Friday from 6 PM - 7:30 PM and will attend 1-2 meets per month, depending on time of year.  All interested  candidates should email a copy of their resume and references to Head Coach, Lucas Baarlaer (lucas.baarlaer@piranhaswimclub.org).
