Fairfax Foxes Swimming

Fairfax Foxes Swimming is located in Fairfax, Virginia and is recognized as a Safe Sport Certified Program as well as recognized by USA Swimming at the Level 1 Club Recognition Program.  The Foxes were created in early 2016 to build a community of support for all swimmers and families, helping them achieve their goals while providing opportunities to accomplish greatness in and out of the water.  We are committed to ensuring all swimmers and all families are given a safe environment where they are motivated, supported and inspired to set strong expectation of themselves. 

FXFX recognizes all swimmers for their abilities and gifts and it is our mission to reassure healthy physical, social and emotional lifestyles are kept safe and sacred.  We each take precautions and steps to help swimmers solve problems and provides access to support through a well-trained coaching staff and a Safe Sport Coordinator that provides detailed and current information.  We have a strong track record of swimmer success in the pool, not only with refined technique, but continued accelerated progress achieving USA Swimming motivational times, Championship Level meets and a backbone to hosting competitions within Potomac Valley Swimming.

Fairfax Foxes Swimming will begin accepting resumes for an assistant senior-level coaching position for the upcoming 2019-2020 swimming season.  While all of our coaches are responsible for working with any of our 150+ swimmers, this position will focus more attention on our most advanced swimmers that compete at Championship-level competitions in and around PVS. Responsibilities : This part time position offers morning and weekend practice slots from Monday – Saturday + weekend meets. Coaches work collaboratively with each other to ensure the best possible experience for swimmers and families.  Coaches promote a safe, inclusive and motivating environment that acknowledge each swimmer and understand a child's athletic, psychological and goal-oriented needs.  Technique and efficiency are emphasized as well as tangible progress in practice and in competitions. Qualifications : Team-oriented, prepared and knowledgeable candidates with collegiate swimming experience and at least three years coaching experience at club level or equivalent. Current USA coach member requirements must be satisfied prior to start date.  Compensation : Hourly wage commensurate with experience as well as opportunities for compensated travel, training and leadership.
