The positions available are part-time contract swim instructors. We are flexible with hours and days of availability. Given this is a contract position and we cater to the needs and schedules of our clients, we cannot guarantee a set amount of weekly hours. The Roosevelt Island Marlins are looking for a swim instructor who has experience teaching young children ages 3 - 18 years old. The right candidate will be fun, energetic and able to engage with children. We are looking for someone who can: Promote a fun, safe, and team-oriented environment Identify age- and skill-appropriate drills for each age group to include stroke, starts, turns, etc... Plan and run practices for each age group Maintain control and safety of swimmers Provide stroke technique instruction to beginning, intermediate, and advanced swimmers Get in the water to fine-tune stroke mechanics Requirement: 1.
