The Position We're looking for an energetic, dependable Part-Time Coach to join our staff for the 2026–2027 season and beyond. You'll work alongside our Head Site Coach and Site Directors to deliver Machine's training program, support athletes on deck and in the water, and represent the team at competitions. This is an excellent opportunity for coaches who want to grow within a well-resourced, professionally run program. Responsibilities Practice Lead or assist in supervising athletes during all practices and meets that Machine Aquatics competes in. HVA Current is seeking energetic and motivated Assistant Coaches to support our developmental and age group programs in Hampton, Virginia. Assistant Coaches will help implement daily practices, teach foundational swimming skills, support swimmer development, and contribute to a positive, athlete-centered team environment. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic teachers who enjoy working with young athletes and value long-term swimmer development, technical progression, and team culture. Responsibilities may include assisting with practices, swimmer evaluation and placement, meet support, parent communication, and helping foster confidence, work ethic, and a love for the sport. Part-time positions available. Competitive hourly pay based on experience and certifications. USA Swimming certification (or ability to obtain prior to coaching) required.
