Job Description
The San Diego WAVE Swim Team is looking for a Sr /Head Coach to add to its expanding youth competitive swim program. This position would work alongside our current coaching staff, coach existing and new competitive youth swimmers, and help guide the club through its next stage of growth.
This position primarily operates weekdays from 5:30pm to 7:30pm plus 2 weekend swim meets per month. To be considered for this position, candidates must have all required certifications and training, be in good standing with USA Swimming, and have previous Senior or Head Coaching experience. Hourly compensation ranges from $25 to $45 based on experience.
The WAVE swim team located in the City Heights area of San Diego and uses several city pools for practices. We are currently using the Colina Del Sol pool while the City Heights pool undergoes repairs.
ABOUT WAVE The San Diego WAVE Swim Team is owned by Peninsula Aquatics, a nonprofit 501c3 organization. WAVE swimmers come from diverse backgrounds and economic means. WAVE is a competitive swim team whose primary focus is supporting youth swimmers in the USA Swimming Outreach program. Our mission is to provide this deserving group of young swimmers with professional coaching and swimmer development and to help them reach their individual life goals.
