We are seeking a Head Swim Coach who can build a program, recruit exceptional talent, and establish a culture of performance and accountability from day one.
The Role
The Head Swim Coach leads all aspects of the swimming and diving program—coaching, recruiting, and external engagement. You will set the standard, define the culture, and develop student-athletes who compete at a high level in both the pool and the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
• Build, sustain, and lead a competitive intercollegiate swimming & diving program
• Design and execute training that develops disciplined, high-performing athletes
• Oversee practice planning, meet preparation, and athlete development
• Establish clear expectations, track outcomes, and drive continuous improvement
• Ensure full compliance with institutional, conference, and regulatory requirements
• Recruit, attract, and yield student-athletes aligned with New College’s academic and athletic standards
• Serve as a visible ambassador for the College with prospective students, families, and coaches
• Build recruiting pipelines that contribute to enrollment growth and student success
• Lead camps, clinics, and community engagement efforts that expand the program’s reach
• Partner with Admissions and campus leadership to support institutional priorities
