Kiefer was founded in 1947 by Adolph Kiefer - US Olympic Gold Medalist, WWII Navy Instructor, and aquatics industry pioneer. The Lifeguard Store was founded in 1992 by Mark Oostman – certified Lifeguard Instructor Trainer and Division I Swimmer.
