Position Summary
The Dexter Community Aquatic Club (DCAC) is seeking a full-time Head Coach who
is an experienced leader that possesses the following attributes:
●Commitment to upholding DCAC’s values as laid out in our Mission Statement
●Possesses all USA coach membership qualifications, including completion of
all required training
●Investment in every child regardless of talent and/or swim performance
●Cultivates a positive, fun atmosphere that encourages every swimmer and
builds strong team camaraderie
●Demonstrates ability to create and maintain a consistent developmental plan,
teaching proper swim stroke technique and effectively coaching swimmers
with varying abilities, ranging from beginner to advanced
●Experienced in facilitating pool operations, meet management, and team
administration, including Team Unify/Meet Manager, Hy-tek, or similar
platforms, to perform these functions in a timely manner
●Exhibits leadership & supervisory experience in leading a staff of assistant
coaches
●Works collaboratively with the Board of Directors on achieving strategic
direction of the club, including but not limited to, meet hosting, stroke clinics,
and learn-to-swim programs
●Communicates and responds positively and professionally with athletes and
parents on a regular basis in person and through email
●Strong commitment to community outreach, reinforced with exceptional
written and verbal communication skillsJob Duties
●Creates and implements a structured training trajectory for competitive
swimmers, while emphasizing advanced technique and high-level competition
readiness, that builds toward peak performance at major meets
●Coordinates assistant coaches’ schedules for practices and meets, with the
flexibility to adjust to changing schedules when needed & ensuring they
maintain proper certification
●Organizes practice schedules, plans and executes meet participation,
manages team entries, and travels as needed
●Oversees and further develops Learn-to-Swim program
●Participates in WISC (local summer conference) and positively represents
DCAC on the WISC Board
●Collaborates with the Board of Directors on administrative functions and
attends monthly board meetings Coordinates with Dexter Community
Education and Dexter Community Schools for facilities schedules
●Leverages social media, creates content, and fosters community connections
across DCAC social platforms and in the community
Ideal Candidate will Possess
●Bachelor’s degree
●Minimum of 3 years of coaching competitive swimmers at all age group levels
in a USA Swimming-recognized club
●USA Swimming Club Head Coaching experience

Compensation
Salary range: $70,000 (salary dependent upon qualifications and experience)
