Rutherford County Swim Team, founded in 1986 is looking for our 3rd ever Head Coach. Located at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, RCST is less than 90 minutes from Asheville, NC, Charlotte, NC and Greenville, SC. RCST offers an amazing opportunity for a young coach to set a program up for success in and out of the pool for years to come. This position is designed for someone who wants to come in and grow the program to new heights. With an aggressive bonus structure designed to let your pay grow as the team grows this is the ideal place for a young coach to set the direction for years to come.
Job Responsibilities include:
  • - Overseeing the administrative aspect of a USA swimming team.
  • - Coaching top practice group (or group(s) of your choosing)
  • - Manage meet participation
  • - Collaborate with staff, parents, and swimmers to support a safe, competitive, and enjoyable program.
  • - On deck coaching for a minimum of 10 hours per week. Additional hours can be added as pool is available and will be included in the salary.
  • - Design and implement age-appropriate Dryland Intermediate and Advanced swimmers.
  • - Overseeing Marketing, growth, and recruitment of the swimming program.
  • - The position requires flexible hours, including weekends and occasional travel for meets.

Rutherford County Swim Team (RCST) is a Non-Profit swim team in Spindale, NC that was established in 1986. Our team vision is to produce physically fit, emotionally confident and healthy young adults by engaging them in a demanding and rewarding athletic activity. We consider our focus to be the development of ​"Character", "Confidence", and "Physical Health". We are looking for a head coach to join and grow our team. We currently have approx. 25 competitive swimmers that are dedicated and excited about the future. This is a grassroots team that has a lot of potential and room for growth.
