Head Swim Coach

Voorhees Swim Club is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and knowledgeable Swim Team Coach for our summer swim team (swimmers age 5-18). Experience with Tri-County swimming, as a coach or swimmer is preferred. Please send all inquiries, resumes and references to trustees@voorheesswimclub.com

Overall requirements include:

• Meet with swim team committee prior to season in preparation for the upcoming season.
• Attend applicable Tri-County coaches’ meetings.
• Provide instruction in the proper techniques of swimming, including competitive strokes, starts and turns.
• Promote good sportsmanship, inclusiveness, positive attitude, enthusiasm, and team spirit.
• Actively participate in recruiting new swim team members.
• Schedule, supervise and instruct team and pre-team swimmers during practices (daily after school starting the day after Memorial Day through the last day of school, and then daily weekday mornings plus 2 evening camper practices per week through Tri-County Championships
• Prepare and distribute swim “meet sheets” prior to all swim meets
• Attend all scheduled swim meets, including Tri-County Championships
• Meet with parents upon request to discuss their children’s progress.
• Communicate with team members and parents by email and group meetings.
• Attend End of Season Banquet – Date and Time TBD

Candidate must be available beginning Memorial Day weekend through the Tri-County Championships (May 27, 2025 thru August 3, 2025). Candidate must be 18+ years old and have current Lifeguard CPR Certification.
