Head Summer Club Swim Coach Hillside Swim Team, Greeley, CO

For the first time in 25 years, the Hillside Swim Team is seeking a new leader. Hillside is a neighborhood summer club in Greeley, CO, with a 66-year tradition. Our season begins Tuesday, May 26, 2026, and concludes with the State Meet the last weekend of July. The team banquet is a celebration of the season and is typically held a few days after the conclusion of the State Meet.

While we prefer a multi-summer commitment to maintain our program's stability, all qualified, technically-sound applicants are welcome.

We are looking for a Head Coach who rejects the "athlete-as-a-machine" philosophy. At Hillside, we value the person as much as the athlete. We are looking for a well-rounded leader who can:

• Lead All Ages: Effectively coach and inspire athletes ranging from our 6-year-old beginners to our seasoned 18-year-old competitors.

• Communicate with the "Village": We need a professional who can communicate effectively, clearly, and warmly with our parent community as well as with our swimmers.

• Prioritize Stroke Integrity: Prevent injury through a deep understanding of proper body position and stroke mechanics.

• Foster Human Development: Mentor the child, focusing on character and growth rather than just telling a swimmer to "go faster."

• Expertly Craft the Season: Demonstrate the ability to plan purposeful daily workouts, technical stroke training, and a successful season-ending taper.
