We are looking for swim instructors able to work at Snellville LA Fitness (2279 Pinehurst Rd Snellville GA 30078). You will also have the option of taking on mobile private swim lessons and mobile lifeguarding during the summer.

Learn to Swim Lessons:

Our Learn to Swim Program follows our curriculum which covers water safety skills with a transition into stroke development for our kids (6 months-17 years old). We do work with adults and adjust the lesson and skills you teach based on their needs. Lessons happen M-F 3:15pm-7:45pm, Tu/Th mornings 5:30am-8:30am & 10:00am-11:15am, and Sa mornings 9:00am-12:00am. As an instructor we would ask you to open up a slot/slots that corresponds to one of the offered times so we can fill in your schedule. We offer mainly individualized lessons (private lessons), but also offer group lessons and parent/tot classes.

Private (Mobile) Swim Lessons:

Our private (mobile) swim lessons programming is where we go into the community and fulfill client's custom private lesson requests. This mainly is in the warmer months (Spring and Summer). All lessons are customized based on the clients wants/needs.

Compensation:

Scheduled programing (learn to swim/community swim) will be paid hourly (monthly) from a range of $15.00-$18.00 per hour depending on experience. Private lessons are commission based where the instructor makes 70-80% of what the client pays (keeping 100% tips). All of our scheduled programing will be paid out under W4/W2 employee tax code and all mobile inquiries will be paid out under W9/1099-NEC contractor tax code.

Payouts will be bi-monthly. Pay periods will be from the 1st of the month to 15th of the month and the 16th of the month till the end of the month. Payouts will be take place on 4 separate Wednesdays and Fridays. You will be assigned a payout group each pay period, and this will determine your payout day. All of our payments are done through P2P systems such as Zelle, CashApp, PayPal, and Venmo. Mobile inquiries will be paid out on a weekly basis on Wednesday evenings.

Responsibilities:

• Teach organized swim lessons with the skills provided in the Northside Swim Academy curriculum
• Communicate with parents about child process
• Drive to location decided amongst you and your assigned client(s)
• Use personal expertise and creativity to enhance your swim lessons
• Ensure safety of the clients at all times
• Communicate with management about progress of the lesson(s)
• Communicate with management about availability
• Willingness to be get Lifeguard Certified within 180 days

Requirements:

• Previous swimming background and knowledge of technique of all 4 strokes (required)
• First Aid/CPR/AED/Lifeguard certified within 180 days of hire (required)
• Reliable transportation (required)
• Previous competitive swimming background and knowledge of USA swimming rules (highly preferred)
• Swim Instructing Experience (highly preferred)
• Swim Coaching Experience (preferred)
• Currently lifeguard certified (preferred)
• Experience working with children (preferred)

Skills:

• Needs to be able to show some form of proof of swimming ability (flexible)
• Needs to be able to communicate well with management and clientele
• Needs to be able to demonstrate a positive, caring, patient, and passionate coaching style
