Position Summary

The Swim School Director will oversee all administrative, operational, staffing, and instructional aspects of the Dynamo Swim School. This leader will ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality swim instruction, superior customer service, and a safe, positive learning environment. The Director will play a key role in strategic growth and program development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple swim school locations.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of swim instructors and site supervisors.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, class quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage class schedules, registration, program offerings, website and social media.
  • Collaborate with Dynamo Swim Club leadership to align swim school goals with organizational strategy.
  • Manage budgets, payroll, and program performance metrics.
  • Ensure all staff follow safety protocols and maintain certifications.
  • Implement and maintain communication with families, staff, and community partners.
  • Grow enrollment, improve retention and support initiatives that increase overall revenue. 
  • Drive program growth through outreach, marketing, and partnership initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Sports Management, Recreation, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of swim school program management experience.
  • Current certifications in CPR and First Aid (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic personality and enjoys creating a welcoming environment for children, families and staff.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Knowledge of swim instruction methodologies and class progression systems.
  • Proficiency with swim school software (e.g., Jackrabbit, TeamUnify, Captyn or similar).
