Position Overview

North Texas Nadadores (NTN) seeks a Head Coach to lead a competitive, athlete-centered swim program. The role oversees program direction, swimmer development, and coaching staff leadership.

We are looking for a growth-minded leader who fosters a love of swimming, builds character, and drives performance.

The Head Coach has full responsibility for the program’s “wet side,” including training design, competitive strategy, and staff leadership.

 

About NTN

  • ~235 swimmers (Pre-Comp → Senior)
  • Elise Cerami Aquatic Center, Southlake TX
  • Parent-owned, board-supported club
  • Strong trajectory:
    • +206 VCC improvement YoY (now 479 nationally)
    • Consistent multi-year progress; historical Top 25 VCC
  • Senior group: ~63 swimmers, including a U.S. Open qualifier

    • $41K+ annual fundraising
    • Active social and service culture (Special Olympics, Swim4Elise)
  • An emerging water polo program supports athlete retention and strengthens the broader aquatics ecosystem

Facilities & Staff

  • Consistent access to a well-maintained facility
  • Recent investments: scoreboard, Colorado timing system, resurfaced blocks
  • Additional upgrades: new roof, recently resurfaced pool
  • Staff: 4 full-time (incl. Head Coach) + 2 part-time

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead training structure and progression across all groups
  • Direct senior group development and competition strategy
  • Hire, mentor, and align coaching staff
  • Drive athlete progression across USA Swimming standards
  • Oversee meet planning, entries, and operations
  • Build strong relationships with athletes, families, and staff
  • Partner with the board on growth, recruitment, and retention

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • USA Swimming certification (in good standing)
  • 3–5+ years coaching experience
  • ASCA Level 3 (or working toward)
  • Proven athlete development
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred:

  • Head or senior coaching experience
  • Success developing Sectional-level swimmers
  • TeamUnify / Hy-Tek experience
