Full Time or Part Time!

We will train you first hand how to teach swim lessons and about our philosophy. Here at Tiburon we are reinventing a new way of coaching; we believe that individuality is key. Our goal is to build a group of coaches with a variety of personalities and styles to create an environment where any type of swimmer can feel safe and have fun in the water.

Our program focuses on finding the fear of swimmers, young and old, and build positive connections, beliefs and relationships with their coaches strong enough to help those swimmers overcome their hurdles and become safe in the water.

This job is part-time/full-time, starting at $25/hour after training. Training is paid at $18/hour. There is an incremental increase for each step of the training. Our training includes learning our levels 1 through 5 and lifeguarding.

Located at 140 Great Plain Ave. Wellesley, MA (inside of the Longfellow Health Club)

Qualifications:

• Self-motivated and professional
• Interest in learning technique and psychological aspects of coaching
• Experience working with children
• Excellent organizational, team, and communication skills
• Patience and understanding when faced with challenging swimmers

Responsibilities:

• Ability to observe, listen, and adapt quickly to meet the needs of different children.
• Teach basic water safety and build confidence with encouragement and positive reinforcement.
• Be reliable and on time
• Responsible for maintaining your space and equipment before and after each lesson
• Conduct self in a friendly and respectful manner
• Always maintain a safe distance from children
